I had already visited the Algarve last year and knew I wanted to live in a rural location between Aljezur and Odeceixe, so Rogil was what I was looking for. If you really, really want tranquility and peace of mind Herdade de Vagem is truly the place for you. The silence, the closeness to amazing nature like the beach of Praia do Vale dos Homes, the small country roads and friendly people. You have it all here. The host was very attentive and responsive to messages during my stay. As I was coming with food that would have otherwise been spoiled, I was allowed to check in earlier as there were no previous guests. The apartment was simply perfect for me in size. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen perfect in size. The week I stayed simply flew away. In one way or another I will come back, that is for sure.

Set a little ways on the edge of town so it felt more quiet. We appreciated having access to a washing machines though we could have used some basic instructions. The settings on the machine were unclear, but maybe we are just not familiar with machines made for European users.

It’s such a relaxing environment and we loved spending time here!

A cozy place! We felt very welcomed by the host, who was kind enough to upgrade us to a larger available room. We only stayed for one night in the low season, but can imagine it as a perfect spot for hikers making their way down the coast.
