As a Uruguayan living in Sweden, I always take my vacations in Uruguay. Due to the pandemic that has become impossible, so I wanted to pick a country with a coastline towards the Atlantic and Portugal was the perfect match. I had already visited the Algarve last year and knew I wanted to live in a rural location between Aljezur and Odeceixe, so Rogil was what I was looking for. If you really, really want tranquility and peace of mind Herdade de Vagem is truly the place for you. The silence, the closeness to amazing nature like the beach of Praia do Vale dos Homes, the small country roads and friendly people. You have it all here. The host was very attentive and responsive to messages during my stay. As I was coming with food that would have otherwise been spoiled, I was allowed to check in earlier as there were no previous guests. The apartment was simply perfect for me in size. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen perfect in size. The week I stayed simply flew away. In one way or another I will come back, that is for sure.

The houses are very modern and well equipped. We were very pleased with how clean it was. The surrounding area is very quiet. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive to details.

Hortas do Rio - Casa de Campo er staðsett í Carrapateira og býður upp á gistirými með loftkælingu, sundlaug með útsýni, fjallaútsýni og svölum. Great hospitality. Amazing breakfast. Beautiful scenery, close to the Fisherman's trail. The outdoor fireplace was a great bonus surprise. Thanks for a lovely stay and experience!

Quinta das Alfambras er staðsett í Aljezur, 15 km frá Aljezur-kastala, 15 km frá náttúrugarðinum Southwest Alentejo og náttúrugarðinum Vicentine Coast og 26 km frá Santo António-golfvellinum. Excellent stay. Breakfast very royal. Very quiet and peaceful with beautiful flowers. The appartment felt like home.

Home Village er gististaður með grillaðstöðu í Vila. do Bispo, 35 km frá Aljezur-kastala, 45 km frá Algarve-alþjóðabrautinni og 10 km frá Sagres-virki. Great little apartment with everything we needed! Set a little ways on the edge of town so it felt more quiet. We appreciated having access to a washing machines though we could have used some basic instructions. The settings on the machine were unclear, but maybe we are just not familiar with machines made for European users.

Very lovely room, big and nicely furnished, simple but beautiful decorations, tea and water are provided by hosts. Clean and well smell. Hand made soap. And the cheery on the top of the cake - warm floors heating. We received a link with recommendations about restaurants and activities in the town. My friend tried surfing, we went for dinner in restaurants like 5 mins by foot. The guest house itself is located very close to the center and around 20 mins by foot to the beach. Has enough space for parking. Host asked us questions about food preferences and our breakfast was completely perfect according for requests. Fruits, tea, coffee and fresh water are always available on the common area. Also we were invited for a dinner made by one or the hosts - she is amazing cook and it was a 5 course dinner for 30€ per person. Totally worth it!

Abrigo das Nortadas er gististaður með sameiginlegri setustofu í Vila. A cozy place! We felt very welcomed by the host, who was kind enough to upgrade us to a larger available room. We only stayed for one night in the low season, but can imagine it as a perfect spot for hikers making their way down the coast.

Biscuttela Vicentina er staðsett í Praia da Arrifana, 500 metra frá Arrifana-ströndinni og 7,5 km frá Aljezur-kastalanum, en það býður upp á grillaðstöðu og hljóðlátt götuútsýni. We rented the apartment on the first floor for a month. It was easily one of the best places we've ever stayed as a family of four. The apartment is very safe for toddlers which was important for us (There's no stuff that they can break, there are not gaps where they can fall, etc.). The kitchen is very well equipped; we've found there everything that we needed (which is rare). The hosts were very welcoming and responsive during our stay. Because we'd stayed there for quite some time we've got couple of extra cleaning services which was very thoughtful.
