The hotel staff is so nice and friendly, and they go out of your way to give you the most pleasant stay you could even imagine. When you book a villa, you get the whole villa for yourself, a nice bedroom with good wifi and television. The bathroom is very nice and clean. The villa is newly built, and a modern look. You get a private pool with an amazing view over the lake, with water buffalos, peacocks, birds, lizards and even crocodiles! At sunset, giant bats fly over the area and gives an amazing view (don't worry, they don't get close). The hotel had arranged a safari for us and it was great. When we came back in the morning the staff had amazing breakfast ready for us. And after that we enjoyed the day at our own pool. The staff later recommended that we took a boat tour at the lake, and it was really nice. The hotel had arranged a tuktuk for us, and the boat tour was so relaxing watching birds and crocodiles. After going off the boat, the tuktuk took us to see where all the giant bats 'hang out', which were in trees right next to the lake. The hotel can make you all kinds of food whenever you like. They can make both local food or international food. The Prices are fair, and the food is very good. The staff are really nice and kind people. They had our clothes laundered, and some of my clothes needed some sewing, and a member of the staff was so kind and offered to have his wife fix it for me within hours. We only stayed for two nights, but we wish we had stayed for much longer.

Wild Lotus Yala ligger på en 2 hektar stor ejendom ved søen i en rolig landsby tæt på nationalparken Yala. Fantastisk! Smuk beliggenhed i naturen. Meget flotte værelser. Rent. Lækker mad. Personlig og venlig betjening. Vi kommer gerne igen:)

Richards Cabanas ligger i rolige grønne omgivelser i Tissamaharama. Der er udendørs swimmingpool, gratis parkering og gratis WiFi. Nationalparkerne Yala og Bundala ligger mindre end 20 km derfra. Skønt, familiedrevet sted med masser af atmosfære. Minder om et boutiquehotel men mere personligt. Rigtig god srilankansk mad og overdådig morgenmad.

Lake View Cottage har udsigt over Tissa-søen, og værelserne har alle aircondition, himmelseng og gratis WiFi. Beautiful view. Good breakfast.

The place they have is a real oasis among those we visited so far, hidden away, quiet, calm and perfect to relax and rest after visiting Yala park. Cabanas are near the river and surrounded by garden which provides a little safari in front of your window: tens of birds, monitor lizards, mongooses and many others. Real gem. Try it!!!

We had the whole property to ourselves during our stay. It’s a beautiful house, with a traditional charm, surrounded by nature. The food was delicious!

Absolutely beautiful stay - the friendliest staff and the best food we had in all of Sri Lanka. Everything was perfect, they arranged our safaris for us which were fantastic and the staff were so kind with our baby girl. The pool was beautiful and so clean, the rooms were lovely. Honestly can't think of a bad word to say!
