Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses in Egilsstadir provides adults-only accommodation with a private beach area and a garden. The property is amazing. The owners clearly care a lot about the place and their guests! The amount of small little details that we loved is too many to mention individually, but everything looked like it was done with intention, from the kitchenware to the bathroom supplies to even the coat hangers. The fireplace was an absolutely amazing little add-on, which one doesn’t often get, and which made it even cozier and homey-er. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything worked great, the beds were comfortable and warm. The place in itself is easy to find with the descriptions, and close enough to the next town to quickly get some essentials if needed, while also far enough away to feel cosy and calm. We had a brief chat with one of the owners when we arrived, who was super nice and told us a little bit about the house and the area in general. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Offering a garden and river view, Ásgeirsstaðir Holiday Homes is located in Ásgeirsstaðir, 49 km from Hengifoss and 33 km from Gufufoss. The kitchen was easy to use and well-stocked. Loved the option for using both grill and counter top oven. The clothes line was convenient and appreciated. The place was comfy yet spacious and had an nice option for outside sitting (and even grilling). This was one of of our favorite spots in our two-week tour circling Iceland.

Sólbrekka Holiday Homes is located in Mjóifjörður, a remoted fjord in east Iceland. Free WiFi access is available in this holiday home. If you are looking for something different this is your place. A really quiet place with no tourists and wonderful views. The way to arrive is an off-road and you need approximately 1h to go across 30km but it is really worth it because the surroundings are really beautiful. Having a 4x4 is not mandatory but I really recommend it to arrive. The cabin was perfect for 2 people and is fully equipped. It also has a hot tube outside that was a must to relax at the end of the day with great views to the fjord.

This was our best stay while exploring Iceland: amazing hosts, quiet and clean rooms, super spacious dining area and kitchen, a separate huge common space with 2 pianos …and a jacuzzi in the evening on the roof between 2 mountains! Socializing and sharing tips about travel with the other guests. Nice breakfast in the morning and Paskahellir site with blueberry fields in late August just around the corner. Totally worth the trip off the ring road!!

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. It was the best place that we have stayed in Iceland. A cozy cottage had everything that you need to feel like at home. A hot tub - jacuzzi was very relaxing. The lacation gives you amazing views to the fiord. The owner visited us and it was plesure to have an interesting chart with him about the place. Thank you for your hospitality!

Situated in Seyðisfjörður and only 4.1 km from Gufufoss, Botnahlid Villa features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. It's a very comfortable and beautiful place. There's all of the amenities we can possibly need. The host was a delight as well, very nice, helpful and comprehensive. Heated floor in the main entrance, café machines and drying and washing machines also available. It was a really a modern house with a comfy outlook. Comfortable beds and big nice dining table. We loved it.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. The property is located in beautiful and natural surroundings. one of our best stays in Iceland! to top it all the owner Asdis is a wonderful person who had great tips and was always available for help. She makes yummy chia and fruit yoghurt! The property has a hot tub in the beautiful outdoors and we had the most relaxing time enjoying it! A must go place if you plan to be in the area!

Beautiful cottage in the middle of nowhere with a great view into the nature. The cottage was very cozy and well equipped. The owner was very nice and gave us some tips where we could see puffins :)
