Even in November, the wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling glass balcony doors are worth throwing open to see, hear and feel the sea air and waves directly below. Hummingbirds visited each day. Everything was very high quality and the staff in reception was very helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out were straight-forward.

Campbell Cottage B&B is located in the Old City Quarter of Nanaimo. Free WiFi access is available. A daily breakfast featuring local produce, home-baked bread and eggs from resident chickens is provided along with tea,coffee, espresso or capuccino. I would certainly highly recommend Campbell Cottage. Our host was wonderful, so so helpful and friendly. She went above and beyond to help us out. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, the facilities immaculate and really well thought out.

Located in Fairmont Hot Springs, Fairmont Villas Mountainside offers an outdoor and indoor pool. This self-catering accommodation features WiFi access for a fee. Fairmont Ski Slope is 5 minutes’ drive away. Came for a little weekend get away and to visit family and was the perfect spot away from normal life but still somewhat close to home.

This Salt Spring Island guest accommodations is located on a property with a sculpture park and a wood-fire bakery. It is about a 10 minute walk to the village of Ganges and is equipped with a full kitchen for guests’ use. Everything was good, I liked the mood, shower, location also breakfast were really nice.

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the holiday home free of charge. The property is non-smoking and is set 16 km from Queen Elizabeth Park. Lyn was an incredibly gracious host. We stayed in the same space as she lives, which was a surprise, but she was careful to give us space and provided us with fresh croissants for breakfast. Instant coffee and powdered creamer were available but we brought our own. She was helpful in collecting any of our missing items that we ended up having to go back and collect, and at which point she was still very kind and gracious with us. We would certainly stay again.
