These are just two independently owned chalets next door to the owners house. There is a real home from home feel about them, and they are incredibly equipped with everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. We were met after our arrival by the owner ( I am so sorry, your name escapes me. Apologies) who gave us the run down on the chalet and some invaluable information about Mount Cook, where to park for the Hooker trail, and some very sound advice to get there early! It was great to return to the accommodation after a long day walking and to sit on the veranda with a cup of tea (or maybe a glass of wine!) And enjoy the peace and quiet. I'm also grateful for laundry facilities, which was a real bonus. Do not hesitate to book these chalets. You will not be disappointed.

A fabulous cottage, clean, comfortable, with everything one could want provided. The patio was a lovely private place to chill. Twizel itself is small but with good facilities and an excellent supermarket. An easy walk from the cottage to the shops and restaurants. Easy driving distance to the lakes and Mt Cook. Loved our time here.

This luxury accommodation is Off-The-Grid and supported by Solar, Gas and a log burner. It is a short 3 minute walk to the Lake and there is a sheltered mooring for your boat. The property offers views of Lake Benmore and Aoraki Mt Cook. Located perfectly for star gazing.

The accomodation is well equipped, nicely furnitured and has a patio in a well maintained garden with views on the neighbouring hills. Warmely welcomed by the host I enjoyed the relaxing stay there after hiking in the Area Aoraki Mount Cook, it is far better than staying at Mt. Cook Village.

Seeing the night sky so clearly, even from the bed through the skylights, and meeting some of the friendly farm animals were real highlights. We also much appreciated the help of our hosts when we had car trouble. We only wish we could have stayed longer than one night and would definitely be happy to return one day.
