The Hotel Ojibway, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, hotel in Sault Ste. Marie

Located 1 minutes’ walk from Mary’s River. Free Wi-Fi access is available. Kewadin Casino is 4.3 km away.

The continental breakfast was not good. Very limited selection. Since we were there in the winter, not much was open. A good breakfast would have been helpful. It was great that you had a bar/lounge, but you need some food in there.

this trip wasnt for recreation so i cant speak on it for this trip. but going from previous trips experiences there is plenty to do Canada is a short trip over a Bridge away. you can watch the big Freighter ships travel through the locks there are State parks a short drive away. 2 large grocery Stores and assortment of smaller stores and restaurants so if you forgot anything and or are hungry no worries and most stores are right off the main drag so you dont have to go far from your lodging.

The room was adequate for our needs and was a moderate price. It included a refrigerator and a coffee station. The bed and pillows were fairly comfortable. Unfortunately, we heard a LOT of noise from the hallway and from above us. We were surprised to not have a vanity. The breakfast had protein rich scrambled eggs, sausage, fresh waffles, and a variety of breads, fruits, yogurt and juices. The hot coffee was rich and full flavored. We left satiated.

I used to live in "The Sault" and I always enjoy going back.

I used to live in "The Sault" and I always enjoy going back. It's beautiful, laid back, the people are friendly, and it's always just a nice place to find peace. If you like history it has some of the oldest buildings in the US. It's one of the oldest towns in the US, starting out as a trading settlement. There is a Native American center with cultural and historical information about the local Anishinaabe. The area is part of the historical Ojibewe and Algonquin territories. It's also close to other historical sites and many amazing nature parks. And Lake Superior is it's own special kind of amazing. Also, this may sound weird to some people but it has some of the most drinkable water you will ever find strait from the tap. Definitely recommend renting a car to take full advantage of the area.

Enjoyed my time there; go to ORIGINAL SOO LOCKS TOUR; I believe it is better than their competitor; based on seeing what I saw of both tours. Our tour was guided by Mr/Mrs. Captain who may retire shortly.

Hotel Ojibway is right next to the Soo Locks and makes it easy to park and walk everywhere. Be sure to go to the Observation Tower several blocks away for an amazing 360 degree view of the locks area. It is fun to see the big ships. We also enjoyed the Crepe restaurant for breakfast. Go online to see the expected time the ships will pass through the locks.

This is our second stay since 2020. Fair rates and no surprise fees like some chain hotels. Friendly staff. This appears to be a very old building, but the room was always very clean and basically everything worked. Easy location for access. They have some amenities in a central room, but I didn’t use them. Never had any bugs in the room, like I have at several higher end hotels. Housekeeping does a great job here. Electric baseboard heaters are straightforward and quiet which is nice.

The hotel is VERY central, as well has a lot of history Our room was very dated, however it was clean. We rented a jacuzzi suite and the tub ran great!!! The hotel restaurant/bar was closed, which was unfortunate. All and all, it was a mid-par stay. Maybe not worth the money, but the location made up for it!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very nice, with fresh bagels, juice, and good coffee. The price was very reasonable; it didn't break the budget so we could enjoy spending on other items. My husband and I would stay at this hotel again.

We had an awesome time here, breakfast made me happy and could have improved a bit. But when comparing with the price and the other much expensive hotels and Inns I have been to, I think this hotel is well worth the price.

Easy check-in and could park my car right next to the room. Right across the street is the entrance to the locks. Down the street are a few nice restaurants. This hotel is really in the most perfect location.
