Ridgecrest, for a small desert town offers more than expected in dining, coffee options, and a TON of work-out clubs, which is a nice option for me when traveling. I do field work in the nearby desert, occasionally camping, so Ridgecrest is well-situated when the need (for example, of a shower) arises.

Ridgecrest is a hidden gem along the Owens Valley 395 with plenty of eateries and accommodations. Its about a nine hour drive for us from Tucson, AZ which is just about as far as we like to go in one day. The next day is another 5-6 to our family cabin at Lake Tahoe, Ca.
Just a couple miles off the main Highway, Ridgecrest is easily accessible. One of our favorite places for a bite to eat and an ice cold beer is at Schooners, a fun lively sports grill with good food and great service! Located on Norma Street.
Ridgecrest will never disappoint!!

Really nothing much to like about the town, it's on the way to lone pine and bishop, the sierras are accessible from the turn off to chimney peak/kennedy meadows which is nice if you don't mind a 50 mile drive up on some very narrow and curved roads but it's very scenic if you like
that sort of thing.

Most restaurants were open with Covid19 restrictions.
Most restaurants were open with Covid19 restrictions. There's a Super Wal-Mart on the south side of town for your shopping needs. All hotel facilities in Ridgecest are occupied by a large number of contract workers repairing earthquake damage at the Naval Weapons Center. Be prepared for extra noise at your hotel.
Decent hotel, decent location, decent breakfast. Nothing is brilliant, but everything is very decent. There is a "laundry room" we used and were grateful for. You have to pay, but it's acceptable. The pool was also quite handy. It's not a great pool, not a big pool, but it's a pool. You can dive in it and it was good to enjoy it early evening.
I followed advice of other guests and booked because the rooms seemed clean: indeed it is surprisingly clean compared to what expected or other motels! I think that was the biggest pro of the place. I also very appreciated the kindness of the person at the reception when we checked in and the cheap price
The price was amazing, very clean & the the wonderful lady in the office was just superb! I was extremely happy with my stay and the hospitality that was shown to us! I will definitely keep this place in my lists of hotels to come back to and refer others & I live 6 hours away!! (: thank you!
The staff was excellent. The hotel clerk and housekeeper were so kind and friendly, and happy to meet our dog. There were some old stains on the carpet in the room, not fresh, no odor, just signs of wear and tear. We WOULD stay here again. I felt everyone was doing their best to serve us!
1. Good location in Ridgecrest - close to Air Base, restaurants, medical facilities, pharmacy, museum, etc.
2. The serve-you breakfast is a nice touch.
3. Every front desk staff person was pleasant and helpful.
4. Amenities all worked well: WiFi, microwave, cable TV, fridge.
The desk clerk was very nice and welcoming. We had a quiet room tucked behind the office. The hotel was likely recently renovated as it was clean and well furnished- very different in a really good way from the Motel 6 chain I remember from the past.
Extraordinary Experience. Super Clean and Comfy. Rooms were actually more to a Hotel Standard rather than a Motel! Surprisingly big and well designed rooms.
From all Motels we have visited, this one is under the Top 3!
The breakfast system is the best. They give Denny's coupons, which is 5mins walk from the lodge. We can also take it as to go at any time. Location is good if you are planning to go to Death Valley (2hrs) the next day.
It's a very basic hotel in Ridgecrest. Was clean but with two couples we both found the beds in our rooms to be small and uncomfortable. Other than that it's exactly what it looks like
Easy access. The guy at the reception was friendly and very helpful. The hotel looked a bit run-down but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It’s a good value motel.
