This Chatham Cape house was perfect for our family. It was close to Main street-- easy access to the main routes and close drive to all the downtown restaurants, ice cream shops, and movie theater. The open floor plan of the living room and kitchen/dining room table made it easy for our family to spend time together. Our favorite portion of the house was the sun room where you can relax to read and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The back patio is spacious and we enjoyed some dinners outside. The communication by Vacassa prior to check in was great and the binder left by the owners was helpful, particularly regarding places to eat. Overall, the space was pleasant and welcoming. We would definitely rent again if we come back to Chatham.
Set on 2 acres of beautifully landscaped English gardens, this Chatham B&B is housed in an historic sea captain’s estate that dates to 1839. A complimentary gourmet breakfast is served each morning.

Chatham has a real village feel. Was there off season, so not all shops opened, some closed early. Nice variety of shopping. Enjoyed lighthouse, beach and Yankee Ingenunity (nice mix of merchandise. Great area to stay in if doing a few day trips.

We have visited chatham at least 20 times over the years and it has become a home away from home- traditional New England town, lovely beaches restaurants, charming downtown - we like morning walks on the beach, seal watching at the pier (don't miss lobster rolls), searching for shells on Hardings beach, summer baseball games, and of course the Friday band concert! See you next year!

Chatham is pretty and friendly waterfront Cape Cod town.
Chatham is pretty and friendly waterfront Cape Cod town. It is monstrously overcrowded in August. No parking, tough to get into restaurants, too much traffic. Too much sizzle not enough steak. Go off season.
Beaches are “protected” by coastal barrier beaches, basically meaning NOT oceanfront in most places.

One of the prettiest towns in Cape Cod.
One of the prettiest towns in Cape Cod. It has a very nice downtown with beautiful stores and some of the best restaurants in the region. The beaches are great, at Chatham Lighthouse nearby beach, we had a chance to see the seals, who come there from Atlantic to rest.
This is a lovely historic New England Inn and we returned for another delightful stay and were not disappointed! Room was quiet and comfortable. We invited my elderly parents along for a vacation and they were given a ground floor room which was perfect for their needs and could enjoy the pool area. Breakfast was wonderful and we would return for the eggs benedict alone! The location is fantastic (close to adorable downtown Chatham and beaches - our favorites are Hardings and Chatham lighthouse beach). The owners are charming and helpful!
I thought w the conversation on the phone all rooms had an ocean view or partial, parking lot not great location. The bathroom super small, no where to put anything down. Love being close to Chatham bars and town. I think a little something in the lobby would be nice, ie, coffee with cream, the pkgs of coffee fixers cheap, the whitener didnt even change the color of coffee. The taxes ridiculous on the room fee, just throw it in to the price so the customer doesnt have a surprise with the bill. I think ive said enough,
The Hawthorne was recommended to us by a couple we met the previous evening. The views are amazing with a direct view over the beach to the ocean. The rooms are a good size with large beds. The location is perfect for a short walk into Chatham where there are plenty of nice bars, restaurants and shops. Parking is plentiful and great to leave the car whilst one walks into town. The short walk to the fishing pier is well worth the effort as there's lots of seals to see.
The property was amazing! One of my favorite places I have ever stayed. The room was spacious and well decorated. It felt so homey and had a lot of character. The bed was super comfortable!! The breakfast was the best I have had a hotel/bed and breakfast. The library was nice, enjoyed being able to pick a dvd to watch or play a board game. There were so many other little touches at this property that made the stay wonderful! I will definitely be back.
Good location with access to parking (anyone who has been to Chatham would understand the value of that). Staff is professional and friendly esp in the hotel and the hotel bar. The restaurant staff is not impressive many are unexpectedly inexperienced and many seem rather uninterested, almost procrastinating. The menu is a bit sad yet expensive. I’d recommend the restaurant just around the corner (the Impudent Oyster) - it’s great.
Very charming inn. Everything was clean and comfy. The best thing of all was the beach! Just across the road was a wonderful stretch of Chatham beach for early morning walks in the fog, to join in a beach yoga session near the light house, to laze away the day with the kids, and then enjoy the evening with a picnic supper and star gazing. Perfection!!
Beautifully maintained period house. Very comfortable rooms overlooking the gardens. Excellent breakfast with Lots of choice and lovely helpful staff. Attention to detail with extras such as afternoon tea and a glass of port or sherry on our return of an evening made this hotel very special. Would love to return one day
The location and view from our room was great. The queen bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and professional. The location was great for visiting Chatham and the Chatham Bars Inn. We were there for a great friend's son's wedding. Free parking.
The room was very clean and large. The beds and sofa bed were comfortable. Cindy and her staff are friendly, helpful and always available. The location was great and the pools were nice and clean. I highly recommend Chatham Highlands and will stay again.
Superb holiday home . Lovely quiet location yet easy access to shops, restaurants and beaches.great base to explore Cape Cod. Home was clean, well equipped and plenty of space for our family of 4. Would highly recommend.
Convenient to Chatham Center. Breakfasts were delicious and offered excellent variety. The pool was refreshing in the late afternoon and the Inn was well appointed with period furniture. The grounds were lush.
Everything was perfect from the very beginning: a very warm welcome by Ray and Judy, staff super kind and efficient, a particular attention to detail. Excellent location in Chatham. Definitely recommended.
Fabulous little cottage in quaint Cape Cod. Far away from noise and other people. On a cute short dirt road- magical! Loved everything about it. We wish we had been able to stay at least two more nights!
We really enjoy the the landscaping and sitting outside. It's in a very quiet neighborhood with restaurants nearby. Not far from the Chatham bike trail. Short drive to downtown Chatham with cute shops.
