The front desk staff were great. The bed was lousy.
The front desk staff were great. The bed was lousy. The mattress was lumpy and uneven and uncomfortable.
Also, the fitness room was not accessible as it was being remodeled apparently. I was never told that when I booked the room.

Castro Valley is a good place to base any trip to the Bay area. We were visiting family that live in Alameda and Castro Valley was only 25 minutes away (on a weekend) and had lots of restaurants to chose from.

Stayed because it was close to many other attractions.
Stayed because it was close to many other attractions. Only slept there as we traveled each day to other places . Very clean , employees were nice and helpful . Breakfast was just ok nothing to brag about .
Rooms were large and clean that was important to us . We were there to visit relatives and attend a wedding in Berkley Bontincal Gardens. we spent no time in Castro Valley except to sleep so I can not comment on the area..

Castro Valley is an unincorporated city between Hayward and San Lorenzo. Small town feel with a BART station, 580 running next to it and 880 running west of it. Lots of stop lights in the main part of town and it can get quite congested every day of the week! The freeway access and proximity to BART are a huge plus!

Chabot Theater is pretty good and the ticket prices are a great value. Gas is slightly cheaper. My primary reason for visiting is Crush Comics. The staff is friendly and sociable and they have a wide selection.
The hotel staff were so accommodating and helpful. The service is truly amazing. Breakfast was delicious and our rooms were very comfortable! We met friends and family at the hotel for my wedding and staff was able to get us on the same floor near each other. Truly amazing.
We booked this hotel just for 1 night and it was okay. Not good with kids as I felt the carpet was very dirty and you dont want your kids to scroll onto that carpet. Otherwise if you are looking for quick 1 night stay , this place is good.
Breakfast was standard for a hotel like this. Waffle maker, cereal, yogurt and coffee. The upside is that there were several places to eat within 1-2 blocks. If you watch TV, there were some HBO channels as well as regular network.
The location was really the only positive. There was easy access to everything. the cleaning staff was really sweet. the price was okay in comparison to other hotels however it was overpriced for the quality of the place.
The staff was very kind and generously accommodating. The first trip out post covid-19 was concerning, even vaccinated, but the hotel had reasonable precautions, and I never felt unsafe.
Manager of the hotel was very kind and helpful. Room big and clean, has microwave and fridge, just across the road with shops and Safeway. I will come back again
