Casa de Campo Rio Arriba, hotel in Arecibo

Casa de Campo Rio Arriba offers accommodations in Arecibo, 15 miles from Arecibo Observatory and 19 miles from Rio Camuy Cave Park. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking.

The owners were friendly and extraordinarily helpful. The apartment was flawlessly clean, and just the right size for our group of three. There was extra water in the fridge (although maybe somebody else left it?), as well as fresh towels and extra soap. Also it is located right between the hills and forests of Utuado, and the beaches of Arecibo. The apartment is tucked back in a quiet neighborhood. We had all-hours access via the front gate, and it was easy to come and go without (hopefully) disturbing the owners downstairs.

Cavernas Guest House, hotel in Arecibo

Cavernas Guest House enjoys a location in Quebrada, 10 miles from Arecibo Observatory and 1.1 miles from Rio Camuy Cave Park.

The best part of staying at Cavernas Guest House is the owner, Andre. He couldn't be nicer, more helpful or more accommodating, and genuinely wants people to love their stay with him. Property is clean and literally a 3 minute drive from Rio Camuy cave.

Don't stay here the place is in complete shambles yet they continue to rent it out. It is out in the country right by the beach but in a very desolate area. I didn't sleep because we felt extremely unsafe here. There is no access to the beach from the hotel only rocks. All you can do is look at the water. I called Booking.com that evening and let them know about the horrible conditions and that we would not be staying there our 2nd night. We waited till the sun came up to leave. We emailed the host as there was no one/no office at the property to let them know we were out of there.

The hotel is on the main road. The rooms are in terrible condition, just stay away. I was so embarrassed that I choose this hotel to start my family vacation. Their fotos and descriptions are SO far from the truth.

Very dark drive out to the country only to find out that the reservation and confirmation was no good, hard to contact agent, had to locate another place to stay. Was so disappointed and frustrated not knowing the country or language

After the fact I found very nice apartments. Arecibo needs a lot of renovations, though have some nice restaurants, such as Salitre. The Faro surprised me when we had to pay $10. Senior price. Beaches nice, but have to be careful with waves. La Posa del Obispo nice sometimes wild.

View of the ocean is spectacular but the res is subpar.

View of the ocean is spectacular but the res is subpar. We've stayed there before and it was under modifications 3 years ago, figured it would be finished by now but nothing changed. Main concern was NO hot water then and now. First room we got reeked of chemicals, we changed rooms (downgraded) but it was better. We had a washer last time we came but no washer this time. We lost power for about 4 hours in the whole complex. Outside it the best, he has so much potential but not doing anything to improve... we saw the property manager once and asked about the hot water and she said the whole area doesn't have any (BS). I like the area and outside of it but unless he get hot water, we are done staying there

Don’t stay here, there is no privacy, you can hear multiple persons outside your room snoring, farting, discussing and cursing. The mattresses are in very bad condition. No one deserves a stay in a place like this.
