A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War Two. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.
Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.
Other cultural offerings are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.
Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centres than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.
Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.
Warsaw is historic and much quieter than Krakow. Personally, I prefer Warsaw over Krakow cos Krakow is far too crowded with tourists. And I feel Warsaw has more historical structures to see than Krakow.

Warsaw is very clean & felt very safe.
Warsaw is very clean & felt very safe. There were a lot of very good museums, we visited The Polin Museum, The Cold War Museum & The Warsaw Uprising Museum, all excellent.
We also enjoyed the parks where the trees were just starting to blossom. There is a lack of atmosphere due to the city having been rebuilt & restored but you can understand why.
We found good reasonable restaurants & tried as many different Polish dishes as we could. Not enough fruit & vegetables on menus though.
The hotel was a bit of a shock. very stark & utilitarian, like Lego blocks fitted together, I hadn't appreciated that it was more budget than others I've stayed in. It felt like a hostel. Having said that breakfast was perfectly adequate & plenty of it.
We also went to a Chopin concert which was wonderful.
Overall a great trip.

Warsaw has a never-ending offering of things to see and do.
Warsaw has a never-ending offering of things to see and do. This is but one of many trips we've taken to Warsaw and will not be our last. Take the time to do your research and you can find amazing things that the typical tourist doesn't get to experience. Also make sure to double check your visit against the City's schedule of events so that you can take part in something unique or plan your trip to avoid traffic and large crowds, whatever your cup of tea is.

I love Warsaw, been many times since 1991 so seen a lot of changes. Great nightlife, culture, shopping, and wide streets. Street cafes and restaurants to watch the world go by. One of the best thing about Warsaw is the transport system, always on time, regular services and very reasonably priced. We dispensed with a car quite a few years ago and haven't found anywhere that that we can't get to on bus, tram, metro or train and no need to worry about finding somewhere to park or impatient drivers 😉. Loved it so much that we bought an apartment on NowySwiat in 2004, sadly sold it now and look forward to exploring more of Poland in the next few years.

Warsaw impressed me - a great selection of eateries.
Warsaw impressed me - a great selection of eateries. Impressive modern and old buildings in the centre. Lots of lovely parks. A reliable and cheap integrated transport service. Increasingly multi-cultural, with many foreign faces visiting and/or living in the capital. It is a bit of a lottery whether shopkeepers and railway ticket office staff are friendly or off-hand; but either way, it is manageable. Old town is great.

I loved walking around Old Town and New Town.
I loved walking around Old Town and New Town. The Polish people I've met have some kind of dry humor, but I loved it! They were very warm and friendly. I loved that it's not too busy, too. Just the right amount of travelers when I visited. I definitely loved the food too! I would recommend Warsaw especially for those who do not like a very busy town/city. Just walking around, and enjoying meeting new people, and trying out the best of their food!
Breakfast was superb with a lovely selection and staff always very efficient. Reception service was always very efficient and professional. we were a family group of 7 and we came especially because we wanted to stay at a Nobu and the rooms were very reasonably priced at the Warsaw Hotel. I have visited Poland several times and the service is always excellent everywhere. There is so much to do in Warsaw and the Museums are really impressive and the old town area is wonderful. We loved our trip.
Hotel is in good location. There is a good grren area there. About 25 minites to the Old Warsaw. Lots of restaurants on the way to the Old Town and amazing library. You need keep in mind that it's a star hotel so do not expect smth extraodinary. The staff is very friendly. However, they messed our breakfast boxes and prepared two with hams. We checked only at the airport. The paper on them said that one was with cheese but both were with ham and my colleague couldn't eat it.
This was an old established hotel which has been completely renovated and modernised. It is in an excellent location in the absolute centre of Warsaw with unusually , parking at the door. My room was very bright , clean , modern and comfortable looking onto the main road. If you want complete silence then enquire about a room at the rear. The price was very good for a city centre hotel and breakfast had a big choice of including traditional meats and sausages.
This is a nice hotel close to the airport. I stayed here for a few days when another hotel did not meet my expectations and i left. Its not far from the city, and close to the airport. You have a short walk to the tram and then a short tram ride to get to the center of town, old town is a bit farther away by number 172 bus. (175?) Breakfast was VERY good, tasty and many things to choose from.
Everything. This place is awesome. Right in the hub of activity in Warsaw. I will stay there whenever I am in Warsaw. Such a cool place. Accessible to everything. I mean everything. The views from the hostel are awesome. I love this place. Staff was great, free cappuccino in the morning. When I was at hostel it was the best week in Poland. I can't stop talking about the place.
This is a very clean and modern hotel. The buffet breakfast was exceptional. Probably one of the best that we had experienced on trips. The location was excellent. Ir was a short walk to main area and Old Town of Warsaw. Also convenient to transportation to museums and parks outside surrounding area. Staff were helpful as to what trams to use.
We used this hotel as a base while travelling around Poland. Each time we went away the hotel took care of our suitcases allowing us to just take a small bag. Everything suited us perfectly here. Close to the old town, the Metro and the main train station, restaurants etc. I can highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again
It is a very nice hotel, with rooms that are functional, modern and well tended, coffee machine etc. The decoration is agreable and the views to modern Warsaw worth the stay. The breakfast is absolutely outstanding in terms of variety (fish, viennoiseries, fruits, etc) and the desk personnel smile, which is not that frequent in Poland.
This summer holiday I spent many nights in many places around Poland, because I think their solidarity needs to be evaluated somehow… and this was the best place to sleep.
Clean, cozy and beautiful.
Very tasty breakfast and nice staff.
I felt very safe.
Once find myself in Warsaw again, definitely this is the place where I would go.
The location of the hotel is very strategic and easy to access to almost every place in the city centre (20mins to old town and 10mins to warsaw centralna), the apartment is surprisingly cute and clean and they also have vending machines and carpet floor which I really like!
The best private place I've ever booked in Poland. Beautiful, well equipped (steamer, coffee maker, basic bathroom products) in a great location, just one tram stop from the Old Town and there's a great bakery on the other side of the street for breakfasts.
according to the situation in Ukraine, we had problems with arrival in Poland from Ukraine. it took us really long time to get Warsaw by bus. but the hotel staff kindly helped us!
im really grateful 🤗
the room was clean and well prepared!
I have been to many hostels in Warsaw this is one of the best hostels cheap price and clean rooms beautiful location the airport is close walkable distance market ground for children to play and a huge terrace to sit and chill
Wow -- you walk out of the hotel and you are right in the middle of old town! The location is amazing. And the room has tons of character. The staff is professional and helpful. This is a great place to stay to see Warsaw.
The location was perfect for going to a concert at Progresja
The room was very spacious, with comfortable beds and the best pillows I've had in any place in Poland
The bathroom was clean and functional, towels provided
Modern, clean rooms in a good location. It’s outside of the old town but a short walk away. The rate was higher than comparable places in other cities in Poland, but perhaps Warsaw rooms are more expensive. Recommended.
My favorite hotel is the whole Poland! The best! The stuff is great, the rooms are perfect. Breakfast is unbelievable. Will come back for sure many, many times!
