Great location, great rooms and lovely welcoming atmosphere! We spent alot of time with Bamdev planning our trekking route (we had no idea what to do for the trekking so it was so helpful to sit down and plan with the hotel owner). We were given the best trekking guide, Bishnu - ask for Bishnu if you are going trekking! He took us to ABC and Mardi Himal Base Camp, we had the best time ever and the trek definitely made our Nepal trip!

Pokhara is a charming and peaceful city, with nice bars, restaurants, and shops. It's much cleaner, than Kathmandu and is a nice relaxing place. The air is also cleaner and more humid. During my stay, the haze blocked the mountain views, but locals told me that the skies are usually clearer in October-November. Also, Pokhara is a starting point for many popular trekking routes, such as ABC, and is very convenient for last-minute trekking plans. For example, I did a 5-day track to Mardi Himal base camp, which was not planned, but a local company helped me to arrange everything and I also bought the missing equipment on the spot. Needless to say, the trekking was a magical experience. Pokhara is worth visiting once in Nepal.

Pokhara suffers from Forest Fires in April/May.
Pokhara suffers from Forest Fires in April/May. The sky is grey and filled with smog. Visibility is very poor and none of the surrounding mountains could be seen. Also the airport remains closed due to these weather conditions. Travel time on road between Kathmandu and Pokhara is almost 8 hours one way due to road projects.
One should travel later in the year when the visibility improves and the airport is open all day.

Sarangkot at sunrise was the highlight. The food was great.
Sarangkot at sunrise was the highlight. The food was great. It was disappointing to see so much trash around the lakeside. I am surprised YouTubers did not mention that point. We were glad we went there. We flew on Buddha Air from Kathmandu. On the day of our return back to Kathmandu, it was foggy and the flights were cancelled. We had stayed at Hotel Middle Path. I called them and they immediately sent the driver back to drive us to Kathmandu. Never have we had that type of service in all our travels.

Pl plan to go to Pokhara via Flight and not via road from kathmandu The roads are under construction and it would give your back a lot of work. Pokhara is nice and 2 day trip would complete most of the places there
What a beautifully done property. Right in the corner of the Lakeside street, Hotel Barahi is one of the finest hotels I’ve stayed in. Amazing and welcoming staff, beautiful grand rooms with modern furniture, amazing breakfast spread and a huge property with a nice pool at the center. I was travelling solo to Nepal and had the greatest of time and hospitality at this hotel. Everyone was welcoming and supportive of my needs. Location is bang on, everything is at walking distance. Really loved it, would come here again whenever in Pokhara.
Harry and his family are delightful people. I spent a month at their guesthouse and really loved it. Nice, large room which was fully furnished. I enjoyed a good breakfast each morning. The location is easy walking distance to lakeside and other Pokhara attractions. Of special note, the solar shower system is outstanding and I can't express how nice a hot shower is in Nepal. I highly recommend Harry's to all travelers. They provide a number of ancillary outdoor activity services for trekkers as well.
This was my 6th visit to Pokhara. After Covid a lot has changed. And those places where I stayed previously closed down. But this Harmony Hotel was more than expected. The family run small property was very well maintained and clean. In Nepal electricity cut-down was normal everyday, but the solar panel on the roof was a good solution for such problems. And those solar panels were helpful for hot shower, and wifi connection. I will stay at this place if I visit Pokhara again.
The location is pretty close to the lakeside. It's a 1 minute walk. The owner picked us from the tourist bus park without any extra cost when we arrived at Pokhara. The hotel doesn't have any lift, but the owner himself carried our luggage to the 2nd floor. Also, they are a family running the hotel, so it doesn't stay open all night long (I think it closes after 11:30 pm, you have to return to hotel before that time if you don't want to bother the people living there.)
The lady at reception was amazing, could not do enough to help in true Nepalese style. Just a fantastic person. The location is perfect for exploring Lakeside plus a 15 minute walk to the tourist bus station so super handy. It is opposite a lovely park and from here you can nearly walk all along the lake front to the other end of the city. Would recommend an upgrade to a room with a balcony and it was a great perk especially for drying clothes when caught in the rain!
Got an upgraded room with Balcony which was huge and lovely. Location is great and the garden a bliss in busy Pokhara. One of the first hotels in Nepal where I noticed house plants in the lobby, that is how green it was. Breakfast is ok and has some variety between the days. Food can be ordered to the room as well.
Stayed longer than intended in the end. Did not try out the trekking service (in the lobby with own desk) but it seems very organized.
5* for nepal
Five month stay in the country and feel very comfortable at this hotel.
Beautiful landscaping and the rooms are very similar to western hotels.
If you’re coming from trekking or even thamel this is a huge shock.
The included breakfast is top notch and the dinner is probably the best food I’ve had in Pokhara.
Relaxing. Yet close to the nightlife. Couldn’t be happier
loved the room and quality of the hotel generally. great location just off the main lakeside strip, quiet and wonderful responsive staff. they took a real interest in the work I was doing and volunteered to take me to a printers and help me translate documents in Nepali. They couldn’t
have been more helpful and responsive. would definitely recommend ABC
Very friendly staff(owner). As a Tourist guide, He can give lots of information about visiting places in Pokhara. The most satisfying thing to me was, my small dog was allowed to stay. The location was near to the lakeside and also very quiet . Me and my wife were really satisfied. Of course we will stay there again, when we come to Pokhara.
The hotel is right by lakeside, along the Main Street full of restaurants and shops. So it is very very convenient to get around. It is not eye catching from outside, but once u get in, it’s another story. The rooftop is so nice to chill at with great views of mountains and lake. The owner Adam was very friendly and nice to talk to.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here at The Mountain House. It is located a short walk from the lakeside - perfect for exploring the beauty of Pokhara.
The room was clean and everything worked perfectly. The warm shower was excellent!
The family that runs this hotel are absolutely lovely and I look forward to staying there again!
My room had a splendid view of the Himalayan mountains from the balcony and charming views of the city of the foothill of the mountain. Management was very friendly as well as the staff and breakfast options was great. Great value for money if you’re a solo traveler looking for a hotel option in Pokhara, Nepal.
Hotel Luma is excellent hotel located in a prime location of Lakeside pokhara. staff are very friendly and helpful, they have very spacious room with comfy bed. the lakeview from their rooftop is one of the best things that can never be forgotten. The owner is very welcoming and always ready to help you.
Incredible hotel! Felt like an oasis by the lakeside and very reasonably priced. The food and facilities at the hotel were great, especially the spa which was very relaxing after a long trek. Highly recommended!
The value for money was great. Room with AC and private bathroom for a very good price. Very close to the center of Pokhara. The staff lent us umbrellas on rainy days. The best hotel in our trip in Nepal.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Lakeside Pokhara with breathtaking views of the lake and warm family hospitality that made me feel right at home.
