Pretty interesting common area where you could sit on like a bean bag and do work while looking into the dorm room.

A great hotel just across the road from the train station.
A great hotel just across the road from the train station. Close to other attractions eg the fish market. The room was a great size and big compared to other Japanese rooms we have stayed.
The breakfast was wonderful - a mix of Japanese and Western food.
The staff were friendly.
We wished we could have stayed longer but we only stayed for a night as a stop over.

Planned for 1 night stay; however while we arrived at Hakodate in the morning, there was unfortunately a slight snow storm that impeded our evening and night touring! And the storm continued till next morning and in the afternoon we left Hakodate for Sapporo, so didn't have the chance to see what we have planned.

We stayed overnight at Hakodate travelling from and back to Sapporo. We got to enjoy the morning seafood market that we were looking forward to and got to visit other places of interest on our drive from and back to Sapporo.
The visits to Mt Hakodate Observatory and Goryokaku Tower were enjoyable and it was also a good thing that the weather was cooperated and we had clear views of the city and sea.

Hakodate is a lovely place to explore if you enjoy Hokkaido seafood. It is a costal city and beautiful in autumn. I explored the city taking the trams and walking. The Red Brick Warehouse is a great place to shop and eat. The streets are super clean and easy to walk. The parks are beautiful with autumn coloured trees and flowers.

I heard so much about the sweet melon.
I heard so much about the sweet melon. Bought a slice at Y400 to try it out. Rather disappointed. Not sweet.
Have to beware about the price difference between sellers for crabs.
Knowing Y per Kg helps.
I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The rooms were very spacious. There is a separate bathroom and toilet. Beds are comfortable and there is a nice sofa a the window. Check-in was very easy. For breakfast you get a breakfast coupon that you can exchange in one of the fish restaurants at the Hakodate Morning Market. It was a wonderful experience. There is a big parking lot nearby and the train station is only a five minute walk. The tourist attractions are a 10 minute walk away.
We had a great stay at this hotel. It is ideally located close to Hakodate’s train station. We walked from there in less than 10 minutes. Our twin room was spacious, with comfortable mattresses and pillows and lots of amenities (coffee, tea, water, kettle, iron, safe, etc.). The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast on offer had a huge selection that was fresh and tasty. The spa on the rooftop was very special.
This hotel was the second APA i stayed at and it was still really good value for money. All the way on the northern island of japan it was in a really good location just 5-10 mins away from Hakodate station and had many places nearby that you could go to eat or drink at. There was also a tram stop right outside so it would be easy to get around the city as well.
The hotel is centrally located and we were able to walk to the car rental company and nice restaurants. It is just opposite the Hakodate morning market. We stayed on a high floor which overlook the habour and ferry terminal. This is the first room in Japan which was big enough to have a nice sofa set in a room with twin beds. I wished we stayed a few days more.
The location next to the JR station and bus station in Hakodate was perfect, just 5 minutes walk. Restaurants and the sights were a short walk. The family that owned the hotel were welcoming, spoke English and were interested in my folding bike that I used to travel around town. The room was very nice, quiet and the futon extremely comfortable.
Hotel was attached to the JR Hakodate Station, and was clean, modern, spacious, well-equipped, and conveniently located. Hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating, and we were able to store our luggage for a few hours before and after our stay. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay here if we are in Hakodate again.
1. Good location, that has convenience store right below the hotel. There is a tram station and a few bus stops (slightly away from the hotel) that goes to Hakodate Station. Walkable distance to Goryokaku Koen.
2. Good spread of breakfast buffet
3. Room size was slightly bigger than the average room size in Tokyo.
I selected a room with a double bed on a high floor. I had a wonderful view of Mt Hakodate and the wharf precinct. The room was immaculately clean, had all the amenities/toiletries I required and a washing machine/dryer. This was such a bonus! There is also a very nice onsen on the rooftop of the hotel.
This hotel is adjacent to the Hakodate train station and has a small shopping area with several restaurants in the same complex. The onsen (shared with Gold's Gym) was very pleasant, and the breakfast buffet quite nice.
The staff are very helpful and accommodating.
Tram and bus step right next to the hotel.
Good view.
Relatively spacious room.
Decent breakfast.
This place is some of the best bang for your buck.
- close proximity to JR hakodate station and Aeon shopping mall.
- room is clean and furnished with the necessary amenities.
- basically a value for money, no frills hotel.
A very comfortable stay and all the staff were polite, helpful and nice. The hotel was near to Lawson, Family Mart and JR Hakodate Station. The beds were comfortable.
Overall, the service is good, location is great, it’s near the market, the pier and the mountain top! I will recommend this hotel for a short stay in Hakodate
Excellent location close to Hakodate station. Comfy good sized room. The hotel is very convenient for the morning market restaurants and tourist attractions.
The staff here are vey helpful and polite. Location of the hotel is within walking distance to most of the attractions especially the Mt Hakodate Ropeway.
