Bob Marley museum, Devon House and Half Way Tree, were all very interesting and enjoyable.
Sea Deck restaurant food was disgusting, rice and peas was too spicy, and rubbery chicken was drowned by sauce that was way too sweet/ excessive. Waitress was disinterested with customers dissatisfaction, so maybe best avoid. Ambience was decent though, and as Sea Deck was not busy we should have demanded more edible meals.
Burger King was good.
Dice roll with restaurant food, maybe better served to just get Street food

Kingston is very nice.
Kingston is very nice. It’s safe if you’re familiar with your environment and the places you go. I am usually in New Kingston. And this was my first experience staying in Downtown Kingston and it is safe! We walked around the downtown area by ourselves and we were safe. We were 3 women. Kingston is City and it’s no different than any other city in the world.

Kingston is a place for dancing and food.
Kingston is a place for dancing and food. There isn't much amusement as in bowling arcade places or things of that sort but there is lots of life. The people can be a hit or a miss just like everywhere but you will have a great time full of music throughout the town as well as Jamaican culture with vendors and beautiful water everywhere. Food is always great and just beautiful weather is always a place to go.

I come to Kingston to visit family, friends, and to do mission work. I would not come to Kingston to hang out. It is dangerous and chaotic...but I like it. I grew up in Naples, Italy where it's very similar. I love the people, the roughness, the danger, and the real aspect of Jamaican living. Many Americans may not like it here. This is not a resort town. Just be aware of it. I lived here for five years and love it...but it is challenging at many levels. You drive on the left here and that is a challenge if you are not used to that as well.

What a nice Experience Kingston is.
What a nice Experience Kingston is. I stayed at the corner of Duke and Queen with Chillinn at Duke. Walking to the harbour in the morning. Watching the city come alive. Street venders selling porridge, chicken foot soup, fresh fruit and what ever else you are interested in. Got more hassled in Negril. There is lot here. Peter Tosh, Bob Marley exhibit, museums. Big city stuff. I did not go out at night to much, just like any other big city I have been in the world. Irea. Take Kingston in.

The people are amazing, every single person we met was friendly, helpful and happy! The only downside was having to be aware of where you can walk but you get that in most big cities. The standard of driving leaves a lot to be desired and the potholes are something else. But Kingston is an experience and as long as you are careful it is a joy to be part of. Gloria’s in Port Royal is worth a trip if you like seafood. Catch a boat out to Lime Cay for a few hours is also like nothing else - watch the pelicans swooping into the sea for fish while you’re sipping beer on the beach! 👍👍. Devon House for patties and the must see - Marley Mansion along Hope Road along with a visit to Emancipation Park 👍
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, even offering to cook an alternative meal that wasn't on the menu. The hotel was clean and the general facilities were good. Our room was a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable and a good size. The pool was clean and enjoyable to relax by and in. There was a reasonable choice of food and beverages on offer at breakfast and the food was served hot. The in-house restaurant offered a good choice of food for those eating meat and fish and the food was well cooked.
Terra Nova is easy access to everything, good restaurants, shopping , Bridget Sandals and my favorite Devon House. Regents finger foods at nights and specialty drinks. The staff at Terra Nova are welcoming, helpful, respectful and always there if you need them. another thing I actually love not like is their turn down service where a staff knocks on the door with complimentary bottle water and cookies. it two but I love them and looked forward to my cookies at night.
This is my favorite place to stay whenever I visit jamaica and staying in Kingston, I just love this hotel it’s always clean and nice and smelling fresh.. the staff are very professional and nice both from desk and restaurant staff and housekeepers, the breakfast is always wonderful I enjoy their food.. my stay was okay. I will always Return.. I highly recommend this hotel… can’t wait to check out the S hotel in Montego Bay… heard it’s Nice there..
We really like the facilities for our retreat. We made use of the environment and had alot of fun.
We love the rooms as most had AC.We love how friendly the house owner was as we felt like how.We felt safe even when we left the gate open.
Based on the money we paid we truly got our money worth for our retreat.I hope to come there again next year ❤
This is a well located comfortable hotel with friendly staff that had ample secure parking for my rent a car.
There were several nice restaurants and stores within walking distance. In addition, tourist attractions such as the Bob Marley Museum and Devon House were just steps away.
host is very communicative re the how tos and the sort … great value for money ….
easy access to go on ruthven to make your way into new Kingston ….or Mona…as you are right there in half way tree near Saint Andrew high school for girls . will book again for my next stay in Jamaica.
R hotel has an excellent restaurant and welcoming and helpful front desk staff. After being a repeat guest the welcome gets warmer and you are now in a good space to feel like you belong. Centrally located and the morning view from the penthouse is unmatched.
Breakfast was so nice especially the plated breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the interior design throughout. Great location....walking distance to malls and devon house.. parking was available. I would definitely stay there again.
I chose the location because it was close to the Bob Marley Museum. It turned out that it was close to a number of good restaurants. There were also a number of shopping centres near by, markets and The Devon House (museum).
Nice location that felt safe. Very friendly host. Most neighbours resident people living there with their families. Very close to a modern supermarket. A great club/bar (Jangla) just a few minutes walk from the house.
Just another hostel/B&B,/big house made into a variety of rooms for travelers. Not real fancy, just a good safe place to stay while exploring Kingston.. There is a mall a few blocks, I saw a movie there
Beautiful guesthouse, not too far from Kingston and still completely surrounded by nature. All facilities are clean and feel luxurious. This the place to stay!
