Raheen House Hotel, hotel in Clonmel

This beautiful old Georgian house from 1832 has views of the Suir River, and 3.5 acres of gardens at the foot of the Comeragh Mountains.

Friendliness, help from Reception staff with all enquiries, especially a) when enquired about a meal, without knowing there was a big (Communion) celebration taking place in the main dining room, the very busy chef brought me a lovely meal. Then b) very early morning departure, night porter helped with bags, offered tea and light breakfast.

Fennessy's Hotel, hotel in Clonmel

Fennessy's Hotel is located right in the center of Clonmel, on the corner of Gladstone Street and Market Place.

The breakfast was hearty. It would have been advantageous to know the property was sold and minimal features are available. I’d have booked elsewhere.

Located between Clonmel and Dungarvan in the Nire Valley, Hanora's Cottage Guest house and Restaurant is surrounded by picturesque countryside, in which guests can enjoy hiking.

Featuring garden views, Nire Valley Cottage provides accommodations with a patio and an electric tea pot, around 6.8 miles from Main Guard.

The cottage is luxurious ,in pristine condition and equipped to a very high standard. The breakfast was excellent with a choice offered by the hosts in advance. The hosts were really helpful, pleasant and kind. They clearly went the extra mile to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. The stay at the hotel was excellent.

The stay at the hotel was excellent. We were able to travel around the whole area and found the town itself to be very interesting and the people were really friendly. We had dinner and lunches at various places and they were all great value for money. The effects of covid were very noticeable in that a lot of businesses have been forced to close down.

Clonmel is a historic town in Co.

Clonmel is a historic town in Co. Tipperary with portions of the old town walls particularly around the Protestant church, The "Main Guard" was the centre of the town - free opening - and there is another perfectly sized museum also. Lots of wide streets, old shop facades, lovely friendly people, and a fine river.

We lived in Clonmel for more than 16 years and love it. The people are friendly and there are a lot of clubs, a good movie theater, lots of shops. Lots of flowers planted and the views of the mountains is splendid. It's a lovely town that is busy, but not too busy. Lots of good food. It's a wonderful little Irish town.

Staying with Helen and Michael at their lovely family home in the middle of Tipperary countryside is like a relaxing stay with old friends in an historic old home, like a lovely antique. Cozy fires always welcoming your arrivalack to the house, the most comfy beds and a scrumptious breakfast each morning, with tea in the afternoon in an elegant sitting room. Could not be a nicer place to spend several days exploring the gorgeous countryside just nearby the property. Super-historic village just minutes away, lovely walks abound.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and clean, it was a good price for a double bedroom for the night, the hotel is a little far from the town and taxis were hard to find last night but other than this, staff were excellent, service excellent, can’t complain

Out host was friendly and knowledgeable, and was very gracious in facilitating the cancellation of a second booking we had. The room was spacious and comfortable, although definitely not glamorous, and breakfast was very good. Location was great for walking about town.
