Lefkada town is just a short drive from the villa and there is free parking close to the harbour, so it is easy to take a short drive, 3 minutes, or long walk into town. Fabulous restaurants and bars once you get there.

Most people come here for sailing.
Most people come here for sailing. It's a busy little town with lots of tourist activities such as shopping and to Taverna's for eating. It's recommended to get a hire car and there's a few places in town where you can hire a small vehicle for a good price. Most of the good beaches are on the west coast. It can take between 30 and 70 minutes to get there.

Lefkada town was small enough to explore.
Lefkada town was small enough to explore. Lots of friendly cats. Good food. A variety of shops. We went in time for the International Folklore festival which was a bonus!! This was a wonderful experience!!! August 20-27. The bus system - KTEL - was efficient, affordable and accessible. The Milos Orlof Beach Resort was 10 minutes walk from our villa. The host Dinos and his team -Yannis and Aleki -were very welcoming. The beach was lovely and we could watch the windsurfing all day there. Most of the beaches had pebbles and were rocky so having water shoes with rubber soles will help with getting in and out of the water.

Lefkada Town is busy with lots of great boutiques, shops and restaurants. It is well equipped with supermarkets, coffee shops and a great bakery right next to the taxi rank. There is a beautiful marina but no beach, I would recommend staying on the outskirts to the west and travelling in for a meal or shopping so you can get the best of both worlds.

Couple of nice beaches, but they are overcrowded, super expensive and rude Greeks trying to steal your money. Filthy toilets in the most tourist locations and the Municipality of Lefkada is one of the worst. Our car was blocked in a proper parking space outside the Cityhall due to a flea market and they wouldn't let us leave. Two supermarkets, a bakery, a groceries and a sweets shop are located at 5 minutes walking distance. Parking is always available and there is no traffic, as the loction is placed at the end of a wide road that is closed. From this location we explored by car the amazing beaches in Lefkadas on the west side: Agios Ioannis, Milos, Pefkoulia, Avali, Kathisma Porto Katsiki and Egremni. Buses require a printed ticket in Greece even though they send the tickets as a pdf. It was Sunday so no print shops were open. The property owner printed my ticket for free and gave me a ride to the bus station. I had to insist for him to even take gas money. Apartment had a nice small kitchen and bath and good wifi. The hotel has a great view of Lefkada town as it's on the hill and it's nicely decorated and kept. The room was clean, although a bit small. There was no safe in the room. There's no space to leave the luggage in the room. The breakfast was solid.

The host is extremly nice and kind, ready to help in any way. The room was clean, we had a confortable bed and everything we needed. Lovely garden, flowers and most of all …quiet. Amazing beaches not far away and, of course, the town center+promenade for shopping, eating out or taking beautiful pictures. We will definitely return!

Very close to the sea/canal as well as many shops/restaurants. It has a really nice and modern feel to it. The hosts were very helpful and understanding with any issue that came up.
