Falcon Manor Hotel, hotel in Settle

Built in 1841, this Grade II listed building has retained many period features, with converted and tastefully furnished interiors creating the warm and friendly atmosphere.

From the minute we arrived we felt at home. Melissa efficiently registered us and took my bag up for me as we had had a long train journey along with the fact that I had hip bursitis developed in the last two weeks probably from twisting in and out of my car...lesson learned! Our two rooms were adjacent and had everything required for our stay. There was a very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel - other guests were friendly, some were bikers (yay!), some Dale walkers, a happy mixture. Loved my bed, duck filled duvet, oh the list is endless, and wow the chefs did us proud too.

Upside down in Settle. Stylish, central and cosy, hotel in Settle

Set 47 km from King George's Hall, 25 km from Skipton Castle and 33 km from Clitheroe Castle, Upside down in Settle. Stylish, central and cosy offers accommodation situated in Settle.

Very central, the communication was good from the owner and this made collecting the keys really easy. The accommodation was roomy with a few of the basics provided free of charge which was a nice touch. Granted parking is limited but this was fully explained and I was able to find free parking close by. All in all, a happy trip and would recommend.

We liked that the local parking we used for the van was even accessible for campers. The community was really friendly, lots of people with dogs going about their day. The local Booths was a great place to get meals. We liked the kitchen so much that we didn’t go out for food locally but both pubs in the area looked quality! The roads there are small but manageable and that’s the feeling you want from a place like that anyway. I like that ours close enough for a day out around Malham. The crag walk at the top of the village also suffices for a viewpoint.

Great little town with good amenities.

Great little town with good amenities. Lot of great walks nearby. The Talbot pub good atmosphere and food, the Old naked man cafe and shop is good but have a look down the backstreets for small local independents. A walk along the river and into nearby Giggleswick is worth a visit, find Russel Harty's grave in Giggleswick church yard and have a pint in the Black Horse next door

I have never seen so many quilted jackets and boots!

I have never seen so many quilted jackets and boots! lol VERY popular with walkers but very quaint and bijou. It's perfectly formed and self-contained but not many options of anything Three pubs and about thirty shops. It ain't Las Vegas! but that's its charm.

Settle is a lovely and friendly market town.

Settle is a lovely and friendly market town. There are lots of great places to eat - the sit-in fish and chip shop was wonderful and Sunday lunch at the Golden Lion was great value. There are walks, of all ability levels, from the town and the Victoria Hall offers great live entertainment. There are some nice independent shops, great local butcher, as well as a couple of good supermarkets. All in all, a great place to visit.

There are lots of shops, except charity ones, just Age Concern and Swimming Baths ones. Plenty cafes, pubs, good chippy {Fisherman} but locals are not friendly. Dislike tourists? Come from Clitheroe and locals TALK to them. Not here.

Everything wow. The decor, the staff, the room was beautiful, lovely little espresso machine in there too, very comfy bed, the food was fantastic, breakfast was exceptional. We usually stay at the Royal Oak down the road and we’ll never stay there again, so if you’re in between which one to choose, pay the little bit extra because it was well worth it. We stayed in Leeds at the Hilton for a few days prior, and this hotel made the Hilton look like a travelodge.

Absolutely amazing hotel and will definitely stay again! We stayed for 2 nights, the first night we had the meat pie which I would highly recommend, also the breakfast in the morning! The second night we walked in to Settle which is lovely short walk around 10 minutes. It helped that we had great weather which allowed us to sit outside in the beer garden after a great walk.

We had a lovely visit to the stables whilst staying in Settle, which is situated in the centre and just a couple of minute walk from a long stay carpark. Good area for exploring the area and for walks. All within a walking distance of cafes, local pubs. Supermarkets bakery. Visited regularly by the sweet cat. The apartment is cosy and clean with cooking equipment.

Dinner (not included) and breakfast (included) were both excellent, with a good selection of beer at the bar. The manager (Michelle) and all staff were very friendly and helpful, steering us to the Settle Social Club where we could watch a football match we were interested in.
