We chose not to have breakfast which was available on request. However the property is beautifully done out and in a lively location. It is close to the lakes (30 min drive to Keswick) and plenty of nice walks locally. There are nice pubs close by with good food

It was perfect, a lovely place to stay with a beautiful view. Good communication, directions and information and easy access. The bed was comfy, kitchen well equipped and all was just as you’d hope it would be. Dog friendly and secure parking.

I arrived at 10pm with my two sons after booking a family room for me and my two sons. I booked this via booking.com. I notified the hotel in advance we would be arriving late. When we arrived the member of staff immediately said we couldn’t share a room because my son was 14. I explained that on the booking tool it allowed me to book it. The member of staff then was quite aggressive and said well u need to book another additional room or leave. I said I would leave if I had a refund but given the lateness surely we could discuss an alternative solution . I asked to speak with a senior member of staff and I was told I couldn’t do that till Monday. In the end I managed to get a key to the room and we stayed but and this is really important, my son is neuro diverse and as a result he cannot handle sudden changes of plan.
As a result of this incident he had nightmares at night and I had to sit up with him. Please please give yr staff their some training on customer service and disability training. I have stated at this hotel several times but I will ever stay there again after this incident.
