The location was perfect for us as we were touring the northern Munro’s.
The pods had everything you need, but the owners were very accommodating if you required anything else.
My teenage daughter sprained her ankle and did not walk the last day, I asked if it was ok if she could stay at the pod until we got back which again was no problem.

Great hostel. Good base for walking and CWT. Excellent shop with food to eat now such as lovely savoury and sweet Lochinver pies as well as lots of food to take on trail such as firepot meals, flapjack, nuts and chocolate.

Location is perfect for the NC500, dinner and breakfast was superb. Views from the dining room are fantastic, binoculars are provided to enhance the experience. Staff are very professional and friendly.

I liked the 80's decor and the hotel was clean, homely and quirky. The bedrooms and en-suites were bigger than average. Food was okay but some ingredients were obviously from a tin. This is not surprising given the remote location and therefore lack of local shops.
The service was excellent. Internet was intermittent but seeing as we wanted to get away from everything this was viewed as a plus.
