The Town House, hotel in Bury

Situated in Arundel and within 15 km of Bognor Regis Train Station, The Town House has a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property.

Terry and Maureen were friendly and very helpful. The room was lovely, comfortable, clean, overlooking the walls of Arundel Castle, very central in the quaint town of Arundel, near to everything. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, pastries and a choice of cooked dishes, plus lashings of fresh coffee. Terry makes a homemade indulgent, chocolate rocky road , cut into triangles and places on the tea coffee tray on a jar in my room. Delicious , even Moorish.

House Arundel is really central in the town but really quiet in the evening My room was beautifully decorated and the bed incredibly comfortable. Lovely clean, contemporary bathroom with super plush towels. Teas and coffee in the room with an honesty bar downstairs. The owners are super-friendly and helpful too. A wonderful stay!

We were there for a weekend.

We were there for a weekend. We walked part of the South Downs Way - it was extremely muddy along the path by the river with low cloud. We had a nice meal at the pub across the road from The Honeypot. We had a good trip to Arundel on the Sunday - the castle isn’t open at this time of year, but we were aware of that. Arundel is a fun place to wander around and we found a lovely Thai restaurant for lunch.

Bury is a pleasant location in the beautiful area of the South Downs and is convenient for walking the South Downs Way. It is a peaceful rural area. There are many interesting places to visit nearby including Arundel, where you can visit the castle, and ancient church of St.Nicholas. It is also close to Amberley where you can spend time on the Rivver Arun or at the museum. Local small towns such as Storrington and Pulborough are charming. There are many good places to eat and we enjoyed meals at the Squire and Horse and also The Black Horse at Amberley.
