A gem of a place in a beautiful location. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome, like friends rather than guests, and we were offered the most delicious home made cake which was truly heavenly especially after a long day's walk. The house is beautiful and pristine, and we were muddy from the rain but we were accepted as if we were in our best Sunday dress.
The room was lovely, well presented, spacious and light, with all that was needed to relax after the day. The bathroom had an excellent shower with plenty of hot water. We had a wonderful night's sleep and a very good breakfast, at an early hour giving our departure time. The hosts are really wonderful people, made us feel special. We will remember our stay as one of the best places we've been. Thank you, for everything.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English! We had a comfortable room and there was a variety of options for breakfast. We made a very quick stop here on our way back to England and we went into Vitry le Francois for our evening meal. The location is also good if you are wishing to visit the nearby lakes and would like a longer stay.

Great location in the woods about 2km from the office at Lac du Der, where we were met Hythe hosts who were friendly and super helpful and brought a lovely breakfast in a basket the following morning. A unique stay in a tree house and great fun!
