The hotel as such is nice enough. The room was excellent for our company, namely a couple and a teenager. We had a sort of bedroom inside the room, allowing both our teenager niece and ourselves some privacy. There was a water kettle in the room so we could make our own tea in the morning and have cereal in the room. We especially liked the quiet as well. The surroundings are gorgeous. It's probably a great place to go to for walks in spring or summer. Staff are friendly, though the information provided by different people was rather contradictory, one telling us there wasn't enough snow for skiing when we arrived there, the other claiming there was. The truth was somewhere in between: there was enough snow for absolute beginners to learn to ski. The same regarding food: one told us there was no possibility to have lunch and the other claimed there was (by that time, we had organised our own lunch each day). Dinner options were not an option for us, e.g. a kind of big salad with meat on the first night, so we ended up having to go into town all the time to get food, and even then, most restaurants only do 1 service each evening and if you don't reserve your spot beforehand, you end up at the local chippie (which is quite alright, by the way).
All in all, we were quite satisfied with the hotel as such and it's ok value for money. And the lack of food option at the hotel itself, obliged us to go into town, where we discovered pizzeria Fontana, a place where you can get the best freshly made pasta and pizza in the world! :)

La Bresse is a picturesque small French town with all the facilities you would expect (supermarket, bakeries, butchers, swimming pool etc.). The ski area is a c. 10 minute drive from La Bresse. There is a ski bus to and from the town but we did not use it and did not see others using it, but were assured that it did exist! The ski area is perfect for beginners and early intermediates looking to build confidence. More experienced skiers would probably be frustrated by the limited area (only one black run). Its low altitude means lots of very attractive tree lined pistes. Also floodlit evening skiing is available (additional lift pass required).
La Pomme de Pin 2 is a small appartment that sleeps easily 3 people. It has floor heating, a kitchen, one bedroom, a bathroom, a living room, a wc and a laundry/drying room. The location is a 16 minute drive from the ski area La Bresse -Hohneck. When you leave at 8.30, you are in time to park close to the base ski station. It is only a 7 hour drive from Amsterdam, ideal for a ski trip of a few days. We enjoyed our stay very much, stayed 5 days, skied for 4 days. Will try to go again next year.
Clean, warm and comfortable chalet located about 2km from La Bresse centre. Well equipped and spacious. We were skiing at La Bresse-Hohneck (great for beginner / undemanding skiing and very little queuing even in February half term) and it was approx. 15 minute drive to the main ski lifts. A car is fairly essential for staying at this chalet.
Super friendly staff!
The pool and wellness area are great" spacious, clean, variety of options.
Breakfast buffet was substantial but it is rather expensive mostly if one does not eat much for breakfast. Should be included in the apartment rate.
Good parking.
Game room and pool tables available.
Not too far by car from activities for all.
Vintage Ski themed hotel, with simple rooms but very cute and above all: very clean. Dogs are welcome, even at the restaurant!
Service takes a bit long when there is full house, but staff is very friendly and thoughtful. Food is very good.
Will definitely keep this place in mind for a next trip in the area as it gets quickly very familiar.
This property exceeded our expectations for a 3star hotel. We had a spacious room with a balcony. The bed was so comfy that we overslept 😅 The place was also clean and in the center of La Bresse. Everything is just a few minutes away including the ski station. The staff was also helpful. We look forward to coming back!
The appartment is very comfortable, cosy and clean, has everything needed and you feel like being at home. It is thought well for the families with kids. There are many books and games. The location is very good, not far from the ski slopes. There is a small river passing by. We will definetely come back.
We've been for a couple of days in La Bresse with a group of 8 persons. A very nice renovated and well equiped gite, in an ideal location both to go cycling and/or walking. The gite has everything you need to make your stay comfortable.
The house is close to the La Bresse Hohneck ski resort, and close to plenty of restaurants. The host was friendly and helpful. The house has a very large and well equipped kitchen, with a large table - ideal for a nice gathering.
We had a great 3-day stay. The chalet is very clean, comfortable and has all the necessary equipment to make you feel at home. The location is great, just 6 min by car from the ski station. We will definitely come back :-)
Location was great - close to lots of shops down the street and close to ski fields. The apartment felt like we were in a rustic cabin which is exactly what we were after and the kitchen was fantastic.
The location is great (closed to La Bresse city center, Bol d'Air and La Bresse ski station).
The flat is clean and the beds confortable. There are 2 bathrooms (good for 2 couples or big family)
Nice chalet in la Bresse. I went there with my friends and I enjoyed sooo much. The chalet is located 15 minutes away from the sky resort. The bedrooms were cozy and large.
Spacious and clean room, very friendly and pleasant staff, great restaurant, big jacuzzi (half an hour per day, private use). Easy parking, fast Wi-Fi. Value for money
We had a perfect time. The house is clean and very comfortable. The location is great. A beautiful view on the valley and close to the center of La Bresse.
