great remote location, beautiful outdoor area, very close to great hikes, super breakfast and friendly and helpful staff, who go above and beyond to help you make your stay perfect.
The pool area and the indoors pool/ spa is super cozy and looks clean and new. The rooms we got (we were able to change to a room with a view, which was more quiet, more updated and bigger). the room in the main house is a bit noisy, because the door is facing towards the reception area. The room here was also more original looking, so really great we got to do the upgrade!
Breakfast buffet had everything you needed, just the scrambled eggs were super weird.
Possibility to get sandwiches for lunch was also nice, because there is not much in the area and the nearest bigger city is far away.
We had dinner at the hotel several times due to its remote location and we didn't want to drive the mountain roads in the dark. The dinner options were fine, but I recommend to take 2 starters rather than the main dishes, which were overpriced for the quality. the quality and price of the starters were defo more value for money.
The staff helped us not only to change to a nicer room, but we got recommended good hiking routes in the area (must so the Rateta mountain peak... but only if you are in good shape...)

L'Hermitage, a beautiful building, within 2km. of pretty Orient village.
If hiking/walking there is no need for a car. A bicycle would be useful (especially an eBike), which can be rented in Alora. The narrow roads are very busy with "real" cyclists.
You are c. 45 minutes by car/taxi from Palma airport.

The road from Alaro to Orient is very steep and winding.
The road from Alaro to Orient is very steep and winding. It is important to take great care especially as it is a popular route for cyclists.
The route from Bunyola to Orient is even narrower and winding. Not to be considered for night driving.
Nearest beach is about 50 mins away.

The road to Orient is a typical mountain road - tricky bends, narrow, etc - so you do have to take it pretty slowly - bear that in mind when calculating how long it will take you to get there! But when you do arrive it is charming and the scenery is worth it.
Location is wonderful. Beautiful scenery in the Orient Valley. Many walking trails in the vicinity.
The restaurant food was plentiful and good quality. Excellent breakfast and dinner.
Very pretty setting for the restaurant. Waiting staff were very helpful and attentive.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, very efficient staff.
Reception staff have a great deal of patience, speak English well and are very friendly.
The view from the superior room was wonderful, over the field of olive and fruit trees and the mountains in the distance.
Excellent breakfast. A large array to choose from. Dinner menu a little restricted, but of the highest quality, and the chef was outstanding. Surrounded by welcoming hills & mountains; L'Hermitage is a walker's delight. A specially prepared booklet of "Routes" is available from Reception. The in-door pool & steam-room is a beacon at the end of an active, outdoor day.
All the staff were wonderful and made my solo stay feel less lonely and very comfortable. Thank you to James, Olga, and Lis for your kind hospitality. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. Lastly, the views and peaceful nature of Orient/San Palou were something I've never experienced. I felt like I was in a dream and did not want to wake up. I will be back soon.
Room looked nothing like on picture.
We booked it for a birthday occasion, so we had certain expectations.
Incredibly noisy AC, I used ear plugs, but, it l was still disturbing .
A Constant problem with WIFI, most of time it simply didn’t work.
Bed was crazy small. Go though all reviews before making reservation.

Amazing remote location ideal for walkers trekking and cycling. You'll need a car 10min from Alaro 30mim from Sóller/beach , Inca, Deia, Pollensa and Palma.
A beautiful family run hotel. Petra and Patrick are lovely and very attentive to your every need. ❤️ And the restaurant turned out to be a real treat with gorgeous food and wines. The draft beer on the sunny terrace after a hard day's cycling was a lifesaver.
The authentic environment and friendly staff made our 1 night’s stay just wonderful. The hotel is located in the charming, extremely small and peaceful village Orient. Our room was very cozy and cute, we loved everything about our stay! Highly reccomend!
Stunning location, very peaceful. Beautiful buildings. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Quality of the food and wine excellent, and reasonably priced.
We chose this hotel as it was only minutes away from our daughters wedding venue.
Fabulous breakfast. Room was spacious and had a large balcony overlooking the countryside. Location was very quiet and peaceful. The nearest restaurants were in Orient about 5 minutes drive from the hotel.
Great breakfast, location, very quiet place. Kind of hard to get there but its expected since its Mallorca and all the fincas are located in the mountains. Once you get there it is all worth it :)
Splendid peaceful location in nature, amazing views, great food at the hotel's restaurant, excellent kind staff, spacious, don't ever feel there's too many people at one spot
