Spoiled. Totally spoiled by Blu Galapagos. Everything was over the top perfection. The hotel is on the waterfront near the Charles Darwin Research Center and just enough on the edge of town that you feel isolated yet still within a five minute walk to the heart of this sweet port town. We stayed in the Darwin Suite which is primo for celebrating a loved one or yourself. I’ll be back for sure.

Hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating. Every evening they will ask you what time your excursions start, hot breakfast is served after 630am but if you are leaving for an excursion around that time they will make sure to have a boxed breakfast ready for you. Claudia, Carolina, and Jose were so wonderful and knowledgeable about the area. Carolina has the best restaurant recommendations!

Puerto Ayora is a place where you can enjoy the nature and have the facilities of touristic places like different restaurants, bars, etc. Unfortunately, because of those facilities the fauna has gone to other islands like San Cristobal so that is a downside, but if you go with family it is a great place to get a screenshot of what Galapagos is.

A small but beautiful city.
A small but beautiful city. It was a fishing village but has been transformed to a tourist town. The main street -- Ave. Charles Darwin, is full of life, literally -- sea lions, iguanas, pelicans, etc. It's an adventure like no other.

It's a nice, friendly town.
It's a nice, friendly town. It's got plenty of ATMS, several grocery stores, and a lovely oceanfront walk. The fish market is a must see in the morning. There are sea lions who hang around waiting for scraps. I also saw iguanas and pelicans waiting for handouts. There's very nice bars, restaurants, and market stalls. It's a little spendy, because you're on an island. There's things you can do for free, on your own. There's also TONS of tour companies running day trips to all the nearby islands. You can walk most anywhere, and there are cheap taxis as well.

The touristy part and the harbor to the Darwin research...
The touristy part and the harbor to the Darwin research center was full of shops, restaurants both cheap and expensive, street food, and travel agencies. People are friendly and it’s clean and safe.
Los Kiosko is an intense street where people are coming at you with menus trying to get you come to them - at the same time. But they have specials for $5 lunch or dinner plus a regular menu with cheap meals too. Great Ecuadorian food! We ate ice cream everyday! There was a little froyo place on Baltra and a gelato place down the same street closer to the harbor that was excellent. We found pan de yucca at a street food vendor that was magical, though not always open.
Sea lions are everywhere near the water (not in the same capacity as San Cristobal but still).
You can watch blue footed boobies diving into the water all the time and the frigits are out in mass as well!
Everyone is happy.
Also we found our favorite travel agency with the Galapagos Living Travel Agency. They were fair priced and hilarious. Lots of laughs and planning of epic next day adventures.

We liked the laid-back feeling when the main road was closed in the evening and the music of the street musicians. We also liked the accessibility of shops, beaches, wildlife, information centre and harbour,
Above all, we appreciated every smiling face and helpful citizen in town.
The hotel is located very close to Santa Cruz pier/ city center. And downstairs they have one coffee shop and one Ecuadorian resto, which of great taste/ quality.
The owner Juan Carlos, has been helping me arranging my activities in Galapagos, helping me with laundry as well as allow me to stay until 3pm because I have late afternoon ship. They really make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
From the common room you can also see the turquoise water of Santa Cruz and the pier
It is also good value for money.
The hotel room was very spacious and beds comfortable. Filtered water on every floor. Oscar and his cousin were helpful, courteous, and friendly! The breakfast was excellent. Pool was good, if you want to use the jacuzzi you have to reserve it. Even thought the hotel is up the hill from downtown area taxi ably $1.50 each way. The hotel has a rooftop area for lounging with a beautiful view of the city and ocean. I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again when visiting Santa Cruz 😎
i really would recommend staying here when you go to puerto ayora.
i stayed here for a couple of nights and had a good time. nice kitchen, rooms and bathrooms are clean.
most important of all is the staff and owner however, i had a problem with my bank and could not get any money which was kinda stressful, but the staff and owner helped me in a great way. thanks for the everything and i will be back!
you can also book daytours and ferries with the owner at good prices.
Nice quite location. Pleasant 6mts walk to the city center. Good pool, and whirlpool.
Excellent staff. I dropped my wallet on the floor in the room. Next morning the front desk handed it over to me
Good breakfast. Quite spacious and ecologically pleasant surroundings.Provides airport pick off and drop off. I enjoyed my 5 day stay. Super service from hotel staff. Salomi goes out of her way to ensure a pleasant stay. Wonderful hostess.
A very nice hotel. New, clean, nice swimming pool. Rich breakfast. Located very close to the main street, restaurants and fish market. Rooms facing the pool are quieter but less bright. It doesn't matter, both options are good. The service is very engaging. Emilia, Carolina, José and others do everything to make guests happy. We recommend this hotel for your stay in beautiful Puerto Ayora.
This is a lovely, family-run hotel. It is right in the heart of things (restaurants, shops, sights), but is extremely quiet. Breakfast is excellent. The bed is comfortable. It was pretty hot during my visit but the air conditioner kept the room at a very comfortable temperature. I recommend this hotel t5o other travelers and if I were to return to Puerto Ayora I would stay here again.
Great Place to stay in Puerto Ayora. Close to the center with all the restaurants and piers. Hotel is safe and located in a side street. Area is very quiet. Beds are comfy, rooms are big, Wifi and airconditioning works great. Owners are really friendly and helpful! Breakfast is amazing. Unfortunately we could stay only one night. Would like to have stayed longer there.
Casa cascada is a lovely place in Puerto Ayora. The beds are comfortable, facilities clean, staff is helpful and accommodating and the price is very affordable for Puerto Ayora. It is a safe 15 minute walk or so to the waterfront. The staff helped me secure a ferry ticket when they were sold out and assisted me in planning my trip.
We loved the creative and artistic touches throughout the space. Elena is a kind, warm and helpful host. The quiet location is perfect for exploring the beautiful beach and just a few minutes walk to central Puerto Ayora. Our room had a lovely flower- filled porch. Breakfast is fantastic at the cafe in the lower level.
Great staff who explained everything that you can do in Santa Cruz in great english. More in the local area of Ayora so its quiter and cheaper eats around, with being like 15 min walk to the port. The restaurant next to it even had a simple full course dinner for 5$ (but it wasnt marked on google maps)
Perfect! The breakfast exceeded all my expectations. The hotel is located on an island and they also offer you fruits, eggs and whatever is within their reach. They were super attentive and. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
the attention is very pleasant.
The hotel is situation in an excellent location, just minutes walk to the Seafood market, Darwin Station and the many restaurants and brew pubs that exist in Santa Cruz. The hotel had a beautiful, quiet property and the rooms were comfortable and spacious.
The team who runs this hotel is so friendly and accommodating! They really made me feel welcomed both times I stayed with them and provided lots of help in making transportation plans!
The hammock in the bedroom was a lovely little perk!
AMZING hotel in the heart of Puerto Ayora. Located centrally, however in a quiet street, just far enough from the loud places. Extremely warm hearted and attentive manager. Room is FULLY CLEANED AND ORDERED EVERY SINGLE DAY. Simply amazing!
Great location in the centre of Puerto Ayora. Rooms are very well furnished and equipped and the hotel staff keeps them very clean. Breakfasts are good as well and will help you to start off your day of adventures in Galapagos.
Its in the town of puerto ayora but in a quiet street. You only can hear cats and dogs sometimes in the night. The owner are very friendly and helpful, you get water for free and the daily room cleaning is also good.
Nice hotel close to the busy tourist street in Puerto Ayora. The restaurant is a must see as you can see baby sharks, rays and sea lions swimming in front of the terrace.
