Nice hotel near the highway. There is a big parking lot where you can park for free, you just have to register your plate number in the hotel. The room was not very big, but nice and clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was rich and delicious.

Juhl's Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Kolding

Surrounded by greenery, this intimate family-run B&B is located 1.2 mi from the Jutland village of Bjert. All apartments include a kitchen, private bathroom and free Wi-Fi.

The owner herself was there to welcome us in doupt of a bit late evening. She showed us all the properties an guided us to the nearest village to get late supper. Everything was properly ready in the department. What a huge space: three rooms including kitchen and bathroom. She promised to deliver breakfast at a precise time in the morning. We handled alone after the meeting. The complete privacy was the VERY best. No one disturbing us and safe parking in front of our windows. This is the very much what we hope when travelling through Europe these unsecure days. The old fashion Danish "mansion feeling and field" was amazing. Just like from the film serie "Arvingar". But, seriously the buildings were renovated with high quality good taste and looked like "the days when everything was a bit better and safer"

There was a great restaurant across the square from the hotel, next to the station building. The Pizza was especially good. There was free parking in the station carpark around 100m away from the hotel and what looked like a number of other free parking opportunities in the area.

Lovely little town with a variety of old buildings, small streets, lovely park areas and good choices of food outlets. Ate at the Ristorante Fratelli across the street from the hotel. Excellent ! ! Easy to walk around to town.

Kolding was a bit of a mixed bag.

Kolding was a bit of a mixed bag. We stayed for 2 nights and used it as a base to travel to Legoland and other parts of Jutland. The drive into Kolding was slow due to traffic, and finding parking next to the hotel was tricky with the different duration rules, but then settled on parking in the hotel itself. In the evening, around 7ish, the area around the castle felt very quiet, too quiet. There were restaurants open but it did not feel lively, though this may have been because it was mid April. A nice stop was at the StorCentre shopping centre. Plenty more people here, lots of shops and lots of food opens. Restaurants seem to stay open longer here than the rest of denmark in general. All in all not a bad stay, definitely needed more time to explore.

Beautiful Town near the coast, (Little Belt) with a lake.

Beautiful Town near the coast, (Little Belt) with a lake. Good starting point for a daytrip to other sights in Denmark such as Ribe (viking town), Legoland (less then 1 hour drive), Kopenhagen (2.5 hours), Bogense (50 mins). Only a view minutes from the lake you have several sushi bars, pizza takeaways, thai restaurant, fine dining, supermarket and a passage with pubs. There is also a wonderful botanical garden with petting zoo (goats), rose garden and a miniture of the town of Kolding to walk through.

Kolding is a nice town with a good history.

Kolding is a nice town with a good history. The viking castle in the middle of the town is obviously a main attraction, but if you look further you'll find a toy-museum downtown, and if you venture a little outside of the center, you'll find the Trapholt museum, which is very modern and progressive. Kolding also has an amazing graffiti-culture which really shines when you walk around downtown. If you're looking for lunch, go to either Tobber's or The Mokka Café, and if you rather fancy a burger the only place you need to go is the Burger Spot. If you're looking for dinner, you can have dinner at the restaurant in the viking castle. It's one of the best restaurants in Kolding. A bit pricey, but worth it. Otherwise, downtown you'll find Rafael's Ristorante, and if you're not in the mood for Italian, you can skip down to Hereford Beefstouw. If you want to hit the town for a beer in the evening, there are three quality places to look for. If you're looking for the young crowd you need to go to Knud's Garage. For a more adult crowd seek out the You'll Never Walk Alone pub (this is also the place to go if you're looking for a sports-pub). Finally, if you're more of a nightclub kinda person, Pitstop is the best in Kolding.

First room checked was not cleaned. A mop left was left in the toilet, used shampoo and soap cartridges left on the sink, sheets and pillows were unchanged and hair from previous customers remaining. Clearly the cleaning personnel did not do their job. Upon complaint, another room was assigned. The room was "cleaner", though still found hairs in the bed, and crumbs of biscuits on the night stand left from previous customers. As no other room was available, we left the hotel (about 23:30 at night) and drove through the night.

The apartment was really nice and cozy, loved the big windows, and the blinds even more for privacy, it had a really great view. The free parking right outside the appartment, was highly appreciated. The location was PERFECT, right next to the lake completly filled with swans, and in the center of Kolding. It was a really quick walk to get to the resturents and cafe's. I would definitely come back again.

Very nice and luxurious apartment in the old city centre of Kolding. Lots of cafés and eateries around, but still quiet at night. Well equiped kitchen. Very clean; nice beds and bedding; luxury bathroom. Balcony and terraces looked lovely, but wind and rain spoiled the opportunity. Room service available from the restaurant below, where you can pick up your key from the helpful staff

The hostel is next to a small park on top of a hill (rare in Denmark) The view over Kolding was beautiful and the hike up the hill was relaxing. Room was clean and cozy. I was a little surprised that you needed to pay separately for linen and towels. I never encountered that on a Booking trip before. Keep that in mind when you stay with them. The public kitchen was nice too.
