The town has everything for a weekend stay. A good selection of shops, restaurants and coffee places. The market square has seats for relaxing and watching the world go by. The palace and gardens are a real gem. There are tours of the building and the gardens offer a chance to relax in a scented environment

We were on an ancestry discovery trip, so the location was convenient to some of the little towns I wanted to explore. The Palace and grounds are well worth a visit.
The Palace and grounds are well worth a visit. Public transport is very affordable and efficient and within easy walking distance of the Hotel. Our dog was welcomed with bowls and a blanket set up in our room upon arrival and she thoroughly enjoyed our walks around the lake, while I enjoyed birding. As for the hotel, the beds were comfortable, the shower nice and roomy, the staff friendly and the scrambled eggs and waffles delicious. A wonderful place to stay in Ludwigsburg and don't forget to bring your pet and your binoculars!
