Maykel and his family make you feel so welcome and taken care of. I stayed in the upper room with an amazing terrace overlooking the lake. It was comfortable and peaceful. I was able to organize a private kayaking tour as well as schedule an hour massage on my terrace! I enjoyed staying in this area of the island as it was more remote (close to San Ramon waterfall) and I found it interesting to explore around Maderas volcano and see the local’s way of life. Do note that if you rent a scooter, the roads on the “Maderas side” of the island are gravel/rock. Use a LOT of caution while driving in this area! Or spend a bit more and rent an ATV for added safety. Highly recommend staying at The Jungle when visiting Ometepe.

The nature surrounding the lodge was an amazing respite from the busy cities. Waking to the sound of howler monkeys and the waves along the shores of Lake Cocibolca was magical.

The accommodation is stunning, the food is delicious and the staff is really friendly! The rooms are really comfortable, I would definitely recommend staying here!

The bungalows offer wooden furniture, mosquito net and a fan. Private bathrooms come with a shower. Some cabins have flush toilets while others are fitted with dry compost toilets. The property is an off-grid Eco-lodge in the middle of the tropical forest and functions using renewable energy. This place is secluded and has the best view I’ve seen in ometepe. The sunsets are second to none! The pool is nice to have and the cabin view as are amazing ! Would definitely recommend this place !!

Located in San Juan del Sur in the Rivas Region region and San Juan del Sur Beach reachable within 80 metres, 2 bedroom cottage, 3 blocks from beach and center of San Juan provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free private parking. The cottage was great and clean. Close 5 minute walk to the beach and the staff was very nice. It had a fridge and cooking supplies, which helped a lot.
