Located off Royal Road in Grand Baie, Coconut is set in a tropical garden and offers free Wi-Fi and private parking. We stayed at Coconuts for 8 nights and hired a car (arranged through the property in advance of our stay) so we could travel around and see the real Mauritius for ourselves. The property is situated directly on a gorgeous beach within a 20 minute walk of the centre of Grand Baie which suited us down to the ground as we'd prefer to stay somewhere quiet. There are plenty of great restaurants, cafes and shops within 20-30 mins walk and most days, after returning from our travels in the car, we had had the beach area to ourselves. The property is clean, well equipped and comfortable and Bernard and Stephanie made us feel really welcome.

Dodola Lodge is located opposite Péreybère beach, considered one of the best beaches of the island. Kim, the manager, is friendly, lovely conversationalist and goes overboard to be helpful. Peyrebère is a quiet town, so don't hesitate to ask her for ideas whether it'd be for visiting, a spa, a restaurant or a drink. The room is spacious and confortable. The hotel is walking distance to the beach.
