Yatama Rainforest Ecolodge is located at the middle elevations of the Costarican rainforest, known as Horquetas de Sarapiqui. This rural community is full of activities and lush tropical gardens. This is a fantastic way to see wildlife in a remote jungle setting -- a former research station run by Pedro, a very knowledgeable and welcoming host. Pedro led us on a night hike and a day hike, where we saw monkeys, frogs, and a fantastic variety of birds.

Offering an indoor pool and a restaurant, Peace Lodge is located a 1-hour drive from San Jose in Vara Blanca. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. The hotel was beautiful with gorgeous surroundings . 4 beautiful waterfalls , loads of long walks and stunning nature. I would have stayed much longer if i had time.

We booked this location to be close to Poas National Park and La Paz Waterfall Garden. It was 20 minutes to one and 10 to the other. Walter met us at the property even though due to weather and construction we were about an hour late. He also became our lifesaver that day. Again, due to weather, a family member was delayed arriving into San Jose. Walter volunteered to drive down to San Jose and pick her up. The property is located on the main road into the small village of Vara Blanca, walking distance to restaurants and shops. The Lodge is super clean and very nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable, the WIFI very good and the huge TV was a welcome diversion during the stormy weather. We do not hesitate to recommend this property
