This was one of my favourite stays worldwide! The facilities are well maintained and better than what the pictures show. The restaurant serves a great breakfast with a view of the volcano and bird watching, the shared area has a nice pool table, and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. I had some of the best sleep of my life here. The cherry on top, however, was the helpful and caring staff all around. John and Luis at the reception were particularly helpful with any requests and even managed to snag us some discounts with nearby activity operators! This is one stay where we regretted not staying for longer and didn't want to leave.

Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal... Imagine waking up to the sight of hummingbirds and toucans, and watching monkeys on your way to breakfast.

Ubytovanie Onca Tours & Treehouses sa nachádza 44 km od miesta Venado Caves. Hostia tu majú k dispozícii záhradu, terasu a izbovú službu. Na mieste je k dispozícii súkromné parkovisko. The hosts welcomed us very warmly and helped us with booking our tours to Rio Celeste and Cano Negro (which we had with Juan Rio - one of the nicest tour guides we‘ve ever had!). The tree houses are just amazing and inmidst of nature. We‘ve got the chance to hear and see jungle‘s wildlife and you even have the option to swim in the Rio Celeste near the accomodation for free! Also big thanks to Odir, who offered us a free ride at his new opened adventure park! We would recommend everyone to stay at the Katira tree houses, when visiting Rio Celeste!

Ubytovanie La Fortuna Waterfall Bungalows sa nachádza 2,8 km od miesta Vodopád La Fortuna a hostia tu majú k dispozícii záhradu a terasu. Ide o ubytovanie s klimatizáciou, balkónom a bezplatným Wi-Fi.... Carla is such an amazing host. Very friendly, available and full of good recommendations. We have a very pleasant stay in the bungalows, nothing more was needed. It was perfect and the breakfast option was delicious. Would definitely recommend this place ! Thanks Carla for everything!

Ubytovanie Chalets Silencio del Bosque sa nachádza vo Fortune v oblasti Alajuela 10 km od miesta Vodopád La Fortuna. The stuff was super friendly and prepared the best casado we had during our trip to costa rica (have to try the homemade chilie sauce). Also unexpectedly good was the included free frog spotting tour. Even though the chalets were rather tiny they felt spacious and were indeed very private. This is definitely no 5-Star Hotel but as best as eco-friendly individual tourism could get.

The property was perfect for us as a couple. Close to La Fortuna and far enough away that you were out of the busyness. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make simple meals. King bed was comfortable. The view of Arenal Volcano was amazing when it wasn’t too cloudy. The patio was sheltered from the rain so you could still enjoy coffee outside in the morning. Property felt secure with remote control opening and closing.

The setting is absolutely incredible! Views for miles - out to the cloud forest beyond! The property has nice, rugged trails that let me feel like I was in the wild, yet safe to walk alone exploring the flora and fauna of the rainforest. Jay’s guided night hike wowed us and inspired my 12 year old daughter, Ophelia, to emulate his trained techniques. She continued to observe and listen carefully for the distinct sounds of various creatures for the remaining weeks of our Costa Rica trip…. and sure enough, spotted a bunch! The Toucan lodge was adorable and comfortable. I loved sleeping in the dense darkness listening to the nocturnal activities of the rainforest! The meals and juices were delicious - like “Is there any more more of THAT?” delicious! The hammocks, the mirador, the trails, song birds, the colors- oh, the colors!- the love and joy that abounds at Cecropia is very special. Jay and Nohe are beautiful souls. I am so happy I stayed at Cecropia Lodge and was able to support their environmental project.
