With lake views, this accommodation provides a terrace. we did not know what to expect as mwi village does not had a lot of reviews. We booked anyway and did not regret it. Later on we discovered that the reason that there were not a lot of reviews (yet) is because he only startrd the accommodation 2 years ago and its not on tripadvisor or facebook yet to have more visibility. Our stay was above our expectations. The accommodation consists of different houses, which are spacious and have a big bathroom. Mr Mwi has a lot of animals which made it even more special. He has built everything himself (over 12 years) and we admire what he did and accomplished. He is super kind, funny and also interested in you as a person. We only stayed 2 nights and regretted that we could not stay 1 night more. There is a very kind girl who makes breakfast and dinner on request. We could choose what we wanted to eat, which was great and much appreciated. In the evening we just stayed with mr mwi, had dinner on the terrace while watching the sunset and the stars. Mr mwi also helped us with some excursions. We went with him to an authentic masaai village close to the accommodation, which was great as he knew the real price (only pay per car) and he protected us from the crazy expensive tourist prices. He can also arrange other excursions such as biking around lake manyara at a very good price. so just tell him what you would like to do and he will arrange it for you. Maasai Eco Boma & Lodge - Experience Maasai Culture is situated in Makuyuni and offers barbecue facilities. This apartment features free private parking and full-day security. Well-located immersive experience in a visionary setting - the lodges finance a local Maasai school that we could visit, as well as other projects supporting local development, in a holistic and sustainable way. The hosts were extremely friendly, the food at the bonfire was tasty, the huts were traditional yet new and well-kept, and the amenities (water except no hot water, solar lights, etc) were well-maintained and clean. Family with 2 small kids enjoyed the trip on the way to a national park, but we would also return for a longer cultural immersion.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for finding this location along my journey. I BOOKED FOR 2 NIGHTS BUT ENDED UP STAYING ALMOST A MONTH. The hostel is located on the edge of Manyara national park, basically the entry to the wilderness (how lucky can one be?!)🫶🏻🍀💚. When I got out of hectic Arusha, I was desperately seeking for a green and chill stay, far from bustling or too touristy places. I was welcomed by the lovely staff, Diana, Neema and Dattomax J. The moment I met them I realized the experience will be personal. I told them I wish for a local experience and visit particular tribes in the surrounding. Not only that I was given a great price (compared to the unreasonable prices some hostels give in Arusha), Dattomax has arranged my tours the nights before. Absolutely last minute requests from my side but all was realized absolutely professional. Through the staff I had the opportunity to learn a huge scope of information about the culture, more specifically: family manners & values, politics, farming, cooking and music. Throughout my stay I had over plenty different activities covered: PRIVATE TRIBE VISITS (hadzabe, datoga, masaii), GREEN PROJECTS (visit to different contemporary and traditional painters, school visits), SAFARIS (arranged for next day incl. Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro), FOOD AND FABRIC MARKETS (later visited a local tailor which was also a beautiful experience), WATERFALLS & SECRET VIEWPOINTS. And let's just include activites as Coca moto (setting fire in the garden of Ava), night outs and all the deep talks. The food catered was breakfast included: always fresh fruits, vegetables, local bites and Diana's infamous sweet pancakes. 🥞 ❤️ (lunch and dinner was also possible).The beds were super comfy, all equipped bathrooms with HOT SHOWERS ALL TIMES!! Which is super rare for hostels in Africa. My eternal gratitude for everything.

We enjoyed our stay at this very quiet and comfortable place very much and even extanded it for some days. Perfect for day trips to lake manyara and ngorongoro national parks. Staff is very helpful and even arranged a laundry service for us.

Located within the Tarangire National Park, featuring a restaurant, bar and fitness centre, Elephant Rock Luxury Camp Tarangire offers panoramic views. We love the camp setting, but it is very far from the gate, so anticipate miles of bumpy ride to the camp. The room is large. Once the curtain is put down, it is quiet and peaceful. Dinner and Breakfast are just OK quality. There is nothing to do in the evening except sleep. Overall, it is a fine camp in the wild.
