Offering garden views, Škerlj Wine Estate is an accommodation located in Tomaj, 17 km from Trieste Train Station and 18 km from Piazza Unità d'Italia. A real gem. We received a wonderful welcome from Mirjana, who greeted us with a glass of her fine Teran and we felt instantly at home. Skerlj is a historic wine estate which goes back six generations to 1788; our room was cosy and full of character with beautiful old furniture. Delicious breakfasts with homemade eggs, local jams and honeys etc. Mirjana gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner both nights. A lovely place to wind down and enjoy the atmosphere with the friendly cats and elderly dog. Thoroughly recommended, we can’t wait to return!

Set within 26 km of Piazza Unità d'Italia and 26 km of Trieste Port in Štanjel, Apartmaji in sobe Odlična hiša Štanjel offers accommodation with seating area. I loved these apartments because of their position inside Štanjel medieval center. The apartments are very clean, well refined and decorated, really feels like home. The property has a wonderful terrace with view on the valley, the same view we had it from our apartment. Highly suggested! The staff is kind and welcoming and provides lot of tips to make the best of your journey in Slovenia!

Boasting garden views, Prenočišča Iris offers accommodation with balcony, around 20 km from The Škocjan Caves. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. Facility prepared just perfectly. Special thanks for additional childrens bed.

ČEBRON FAMILY ESTATE is situated in Branik and has a pool with a view and mountain views. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. A full breakfast was served in dining room overlooking the vineyard. Amazing accomodations and the owners were very friendly and available to answer any questions. We enjoyed their wines, wish we had purchased more! This sobe if a real Gem!

Featuring mountain views, Hiša posebne Sorte features accommodation with patio, around 29 km from Trieste Train Station. There isn't a thing you could not like here. Seriously. Ok, the weather played a bit tricks on us the first day. But even it redeemed itself with a beautiful rainbow at the end of the day. So, when you have a group of friends or family, all of them having time (which can be the most difficult part these days) and you want to spoil them (and yourself), book a stay. Reserve a table for dinner. And then - enjoy.

Boasting accommodation with a terrace, Apartma Furlan is situated in Štanjel. The property is around 26 km from Piazza Unità d'Italia, 26 km from Trieste Port and 27 km from San Giusto Castle. The apartment was clean and quiet. We slept so well. I used WhatsApp to communicate with the host and they were welcoming and kind. The free parking and ability to view the beautiful city from the terrace and then walk up in 10min was perfect!

The room was perfect, but the highlight was the wonderful five-course dinner. One of the best meals we had during our three weeks in Slovenia.

It was very good. Typical Slovenian breakfast. There was also a restaurant there in the evening so if you didn't want to go out you could eat there.
