La Rosa was great in every way! The food was amazing and the staff were so helpful. Our suit was the size of a small house

A super friendly reception by the host, welcome drinks at 19.30 with the other guests, very animated dinners around communal table. This was hotel no.11 on our trip which was meant for relaxation, and it did. The region is a cultural heritage of unbelievable beauty.

Situated within 13 km of Natur Waterpark and 37 km of Douro Museum, Casa do Santo - Wine & Tourism features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Provesende. We had a wonderful experience at Casa do Santo for our 2 night stay. Maria was very hospitable, helpful, and knowledgable. The views of the Douro valley are beautiful. The small, quaint village is a quick drive to the Douro river with amazing views of the hillside vineyards. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again when we return to this area.

Offering mountain views, A Tendinha - Guest House is an accommodation located in Peso da Régua, 1.1 km from Douro Museum and 14 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

Moinhos do Paiva is set in Castelo de Paiva and features a private pool and mountain views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Spectacular place with a lake view. The place is perfect to disconnect and be surrounded by nature. Ana from the staff was amazing, very thoughtful and open to help. For sure will be a place to come back again.

Boasting garden views, Quinta de Travassinhos- Douro Valley offers accommodation with a rooftop pool, an indoor pool and an open-air bath, around 6.5 km from Douro Museum. Everything was perfect. The hosts, the room, the garden, the pool, the views... We enjoyed evey second of our stay and we will definitely be coming back for a longer stay.

Set in Vila Nova de Foz Coa and only 18 km from Longroiva Hot Springs, Eira da Fraga offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Great location, peaceful but within walking distance to town. Beautiful building and very hospitable host.

Located within 17 km of Longroiva Hot Springs and 41 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Apartamentos Barbosa offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Vila Nova de Foz Coa. Clean and friendly. Very spacious for a very reasonable price.

FAFEL LITTLE HOUSE - Quinta de Cravaz, a property with a bar, is set in Lamego, 1.4 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, 16 km from Douro Museum, as well as 36 km from Natur Waterpark. Everything was very clean and nice. Studio is quite small but cozy and for two days it was enough. We didn't cook so I can't tell how it would be if we did. Bathroom is nice and spacious. We booked studio on 2nd floor but the owner gave us 3rd floor for a better view.
