La Casa de los Patos is a recently renovated guest house in Valle de Anton, where guests can makes the most of its outdoor swimming pool, garden and terrace. Situated in a very quiet neighborhood, this place is just perfect for relaxing, but still is minutes away from the animated street of Anton Valley. The big patio and hammock overlooking the large garden were perfect for relaxing. Big, beautiful garden with many birds. The hot spring pool was huge and pretty and the temperature was perfect day and night. The house was sparkling clean. The bed and linens were clean and very comfortable. Owners were super friendly and helpful and were always instantly responsive over phone!

Wonderful and beautiful villa, great big rooms, all the little details included, quiet, nice hosts, ability to put things in the kitchen fridge, short walk to town, restaurants, parking. We stayed 5 nights and moved from room to room. Both were good.

Awesome spot for nature lovers and birds watchers. The view is breathtaking. Patty is very welcoming and helpful, she feeds birds every morning and to watch that feast is spectacular. Would definitely stay there again.

Set in Valle de Anton, 46 km from Santa Clara, DondeJosé offers free bikes and free WiFi. Location was excellent, with comfortable beds and all the required amenities in good working order. Perfect for our 3 night stay. It’s a 5 min walk to a good size supermarket, 15 mins to the main ‘downtown’ Avenida with restaurants and the mercado. 3 amazing hikes to the top of the ancient caldera, and the butterfly farm is a must see. We were able to park our car inside their gate, and the home is a 15 min walk to access one of the 3 primary hikes in the area, India Dormida. Jose and his partner, Liz, are wonderful hosts, and made us feel like family. The breakfast is simple and filling, and we could use their fridge and also made a meal or two using the kitchen facilities. Jose and Liz are gracious hosts and Jose is very witty. They made our time there a truly fun and memorable experience. Communication was excellent, in English and Spanish, despite my spouse and I having very limited Spanish language skills. Local knowledge, tips, and recommendations on things to do in the area were great and super appreciated. Finally, Jose joined us on one of our hikes and he made it super fun and interesting with his knowledge of local flora and fauna. The hosts were very friendly and nice. The location was quiet and within short walking distance to the beach. The room was super clean. Pool and common seating area were great. We really enjoyed our stay.
