Situated in a very quiet neighborhood, this place is just perfect for relaxing, but still is minutes away from the animated street of Anton Valley. The big patio and hammock overlooking the large garden were perfect for relaxing. Big, beautiful garden with many birds. The hot spring pool was huge and pretty and the temperature was perfect day and night. The house was sparkling clean. The bed and linens were clean and very comfortable. Owners were super friendly and helpful and were always instantly responsive over phone!

Great location right near the trail head of La India Dormida. The owner Ariel went out of his way to make us feel at home and make our travels easy. He is probably the most hospitable host we have ever encountered in our travels. He met us in town at the bus stop and offered to drop us off at the bus stop when we were leaving. He is very knowledgeable about the town and activities, and loves to share music and stories. The communal spaces are very homely, there is a big backyard space and a river alongside the property.

One of our favorite parts of El Valle was just sitting on the patio and looking at the view. If you go in the rainy season, then having a place with a huge patio like this is essential since it will inevitably rain at some point and listening to the rain and watching the clouds move over the valley from this spot is perfect. And it is so clean, which is impressive considering again how large the outdoor area is. The walk into town is very charming and a great way to see the town and plants.

Location was excellent, with comfortable beds and all the required amenities in good working order. Perfect for our 3 night stay. It’s a 5 min walk to a good size supermarket, 15 mins to the main ‘downtown’ Avenida with restaurants and the mercado. 3 amazing hikes to the top of the ancient caldera, and the butterfly farm is a must see. We were able to park our car inside their gate, and the home is a 15 min walk to access one of the 3 primary hikes in the area, India Dormida. Jose and his partner, Liz, are wonderful hosts, and made us feel like family. The breakfast is simple and filling, and we could use their fridge and also made a meal or two using the kitchen facilities. Jose and Liz are gracious hosts and Jose is very witty. They made our time there a truly fun and memorable experience. Communication was excellent, in English and Spanish, despite my spouse and I having very limited Spanish language skills. Local knowledge, tips, and recommendations on things to do in the area were great and super appreciated. Finally, Jose joined us on one of our hikes and he made it super fun and interesting with his knowledge of local flora and fauna. Nossa estadia foi excelente, os anfitriões Nadège e Chistophe são super atenciosos. O café da manhã é realmente muito bom, frutas e pães frescos, suco natural. É um lugar bastante tranquilo, com um jardim muito bem cuidado- a área da pisicina é linda. O quarto é muito confortável, bem espaçoso, tudo muito bem limpo.
