The location is amazing set amongst rice fields in a rural village where you can walk to a nearby lake and pass by the friendly locals going about their daily life .Our room was so clean and modern and our host Dylan was very kind and informative,The safari organization was great. We saw a leopard cross the road right in front of us at early morning. We saw a lot of other animals to include a family of elephants. The food was also so fresh and delicious.we would definitely recommend staying here and get to feel the real SriLanka away from all the tourist hubs.

Set in Wilpattu, The Backwaters Lodge offers accommodation with seating area. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Great jungle atmosphere, you literally hear only the sounds of jungle while sleeping. The owner Tarique was amazing, helped us with everything and gave us great tips not only for Safari in Wilpattu, but also for travels around Srilanka. Also, the dinner was to die for, the best one we had in Srilanka. The location is perfect, just a short tuktuk drive away from Wilpattu national park.

Set just 38 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort provides accommodation in Habawewa with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as room service. This is a very private, hidden-away location in walking distance to the National Park. In fact, you can't get closer by staying anywhere else--and this means you save time by getting to sleep in during the morning. The host and owner, Leel, doesn't speak much English, but uses Google Translate to always help. The rooms have the best A/C, and with only a few bedrooms on the property, it's very private and great for bird-watching. Simple, efficient, and relaxing.

Wilpattu homestay by Ceylon group is a recently renovated homestay in Wilpattu, where guests can make the most of its open-air bath and free bikes. The homestay provided all the necessities for a pleasant night. Nicest host we’ve ever stayed with. Perfect place to stay overnight when visiting willpattu national park.

Located in Wilpattu and with Kumbichchan Kulama Tank reachable within 34 km, Glamping Wilpattu by Thamaravila provides express check-in and check-out, allergy-free rooms, pool with a view, free WiFi... Priya and his team couldn’t do enough for us and was so attentive with utmost understanding and kindness to our 22month old daughter. The food was fine dining at its best and kept making the chicken soup my daughter couldn’t get enough of. Priya’s knowledge of the wildlife in the park was great and again focusing on wildlife our daughter could see.

Get up close with wildlife and nature at Leopard Trails Wilpattu, a campsite with tents offering a private bathroom. Leopard Trails was one of the highlight stays of our Sri Lankan vacation. Its glamping with a capital G, and very good value for money. Just a few km from the Wilpattu park entrance, we went on 2 safaris and of course saw Leopard, Sloth bear, elephant and a bunch of other species. But TBH it was the stay in this luxury camp, with its spacious safari style tent rooms, its wonderful staff and food that was amongst the best we had in Sri Lanka. I 100% recommend staying here.

Located on the border of Wilpattu National Park, Big Game - Wilpattu by Eco Team offers spacious tents with an attached partitioned bathroom. Everything. From the Safari to the night walk, everything was fabulous and a perfect way to end our Sri Lanka adventure before heading back to Negombo. Dinner under the stars was a very special experience and we also got a tent upgrade which we really appreciated :) Our naturalist was very knowledgeable and we learnt so much during the night walk.

Located within 35 km of Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 36 km of Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, mango villa wilpattu provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Nekattegama. Really good location close to the national Park. We were originally supposed to stay in Green Sapphire but they let us down a few hours before we were due to arrive (seems they’ve done it a lot looking at the Google reviews), but the Mango Villa team had everything sorted even though we booked just a few hours earlier that day they were still able to organise 2 full day safaris for the following 2 days where we saw all sorts of great wildlife. Staff are all really friendly, especially the man who brings the food across in the evenings (unfortunately I don’t know his name). The food is good especially considering the remote location and nice packed lunches for the safari each day. Definitely the place to stay if you’re planning a Wilpattu safari!

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Life of Leisure Wilpattu is set in Pahala Maragahawewa. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. It’s clean and very well maintained. Amazing service. Gentleman, unfortunately we didn’t catch his name, was supporting us throughout all stay. He arranged very tasty bbq and to go breakfast for safari. There are all amenities in this house.

Located in Pahala Maragahawewa, within 31 km of Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 32 km of Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Wilpattu Lakwin Guest provides accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for... It’s a nice home stay for the first two nights after I land in SriLanka.The host and his families are super friendly,they couldn’t speak English so it always nice to use translator to communicate. Nice locations to go to Wilpattu National Park,highly recommended
