The warm atmosphere, the art on the walls and in the yard, all the little details create a home away from home atmosphere. One of the reasons we want to come back to Jaffna is to stay here again.

Set within 1.3 km of Nallur Kandaswamy Temple and 1.8 km of Jaffna Railway Station in Jaffna, Berty's Cottage offers accommodation with seating area. We really liked Betty’s Cottage and the owners were really nice. They booked our bus from Colombo to Jaffna which was a huge help, and they waited up until 4 am for us to arrive. We had only booked the place for the following night so they charged us half a day. The breakfast offered was fine, nothing to rave about. The WiFi is really good! The hosts are also nice and very dedicated to making sure we got everything we needed.

Malabar Beach Walk, a property with a garden, is located in Jaffna, 11 km from Jaffna Railway Station, 12 km from Jaffna Public Library, as well as 12 km from Jaffna Fort. Malabar Beach Walk is the perfect home from home to enjoy your holidays exploring Jaffna and the surrounding area. You will have the peace and tranquillity of a spacious private villa all to yourself, with beautiful palm tree lined garden, hammock, outdoor terrace area and only a 5 min walk to a shallow beach for a little swim or to watch the sunset. The villa is in a countryside location, so you can really get away from the world if you wish. However perhaps useful to have your own transport if you do wish to visit the surrounding area. The villa comes with a kitchen (including cookware, dining items, cutlery, a kettle, a paraffin stove, and fridge freezer if you want to cook and store provisions. The villa also has a western style toilet ensuite to the bedroom, a separate Asian style toilet, an indoor shower room, and also an outdoor shower. Delicious regional style meals can be provided by the kind a friendly family living in the property next door upon request. The very polite young man Bobbu that brings the food speaks very good English. The property has good wifi provided free of charge. The wonderfully kind and friendly owners Adhi and Karthiga are great hosts and remain available via WhatsApp to attend to your every need. They are delighted to drop by to the villa at the time you arrange to offer local advice and bring you things you may need. They also kindly offer to bring you some local delicacies to try if you want (toddy, ice apples etc). Adhi and Karthiga speak very good English and are truly wonderful people to meet. The main bedroom has a double bed and a single bed. Both beds have mosquito nets and two fans are provided. There seems to be an additional separate bedroom if you need it, however as we were only two people this wasn’t required for our stay. The villa is in the countryside, as such you may meet a few cute little frogs in the bathroom who are sheltering there from the heat of the day.

La pulizia della stanza, la camera era molto spaziosa e confortevole, ci sono l'aria condizionata ed il ventilatore a soffitto, é possibile uscire in terrazzo a rilassarsi e utilizzare la cucina comune con le altre stanze La zona é tranquilla e vicino al tempio di Nallur.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Chety Villa is situated in Jaffna, less than 1 km from Nallur Kandaswamy Temple and 2.2 km from Jaffna Railway Station. The place is exceptionally quiet eventhough it is located in a neighbourhood. The owner, Nisha was friendly, caring, and professional. The place is new, clean and full of amenities. I would recommend Chety Villa without any reservations.

Offering a garden and garden view, Malabar home stay is situated in Jaffna, 3.5 km from Jaffna Railway Station and 4.5 km from Jaffna Public Library. Loved the place and the atmosphere. Rooms were quiet and cosy and the food was fabulous. Located close to many locations in Jaffna where you could easily visit. Host was very friendly and flexible with excellent response times for any help we required.

Facing the seafront in Delft East, Delft Village Stay has free bikes and a garden. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also has a restaurant and a sun terrace. Our stay with Tommy and his family was truly wonderful! Tommy takes care of his guests and is always ready to help! He has a fantastic family and his mother is a master chef! DELICIOUS FOOD! One of the best we ate in Sri Lanka! The tents were great - darkened, fans inside, comfortable mattresses and plenty of space in front for a comfortable rest! We highly recommend this place to relax! ☺️

Offering a garden and garden view, Flamingo Villa is set in Jaffna, 100 metres from Jaffna Railway Station and 1.6 km from Jaffna Public Library. The Flamingo Villa's spot-on location in the city center, just a 2-minute stroll from the Railway station, is a winner. The staff were top-notch, well-trained, and really helpful. The WiFi signal can be a bit wobbly, but it doesn't really cramp your stay.
