250 metres from Beppu Tower, BEPPU HOSTEL U&T is set in Beppu and features a garden and a terrace. The property is close to Beppu Park, B-Con Plaza and Beppu Art Museum. Clean and big enough space for family with children. Children could sleep in separated room from living room so that they could go to bed as usual. Free drinks, tv games and Netflix at common area, our children liked it and they played with young friendly staffs. Within 10 minutes walking to Beppu train station and near a shopping mall.

In the Kannawa Onsen district of Beppu, close to Yukemori Observatory, OMOLOSO Hostel オモロソウ ホステル features a garden and a washing machine. Toshi and his girlfriend are excellent hosts. They made my stay perfect. They advised and helped me in every way. I had to write this review as I usually don't bother.

GRAND VERDE RESORT features a sauna and free private parking, and is within 41 km of Oita Bank Dome and 11 km of Kinrinko Lake. The food and service were exceptional. It was really great to have some prepared food and some to cook ourselves. All fresh and delicious. Good location with beautiful views. Very relaxing and loved some of the smaller activities available. Room was the perfect size and great setup for the views and with bathroom and eating area.

1.7 km from Kinrinko Lake in Yufu, 湯布院我楽珍民泊Yufuin Garakuchin provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath and public bath. Various choices of pools in one single building, the owner is helpful and will proactively ask where you wanted to go and he will try best to fetch you there.

Situated 42 km from Oita Bank Dome, 湯布院月灯り offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden and a shared lounge. The host was so hospitable and staying there felt like you were staying in someone’s home rather than a business transaction. We had a lovely home cooked breakfast and the host even took the trouble to pack my daughter’s half finished toast.. And oh yes! The piping hot bath for soaking was another delightful experience for a unique local experience.

Ideally situated in the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, Yufuin Tsuru no Yu is situated 1 km from Kinrinko Lake, 23 km from Beppu Station and 35 km from Oita Station. Nice quiet corner beside a river with running water sounds, beside a rice Paddy field facing mountain views. Breakfast is great, Japanese style with many small dishes serving. Imagine after a morning spring bath your breakfast is ready to serve you that feeling is so great.

Located in Yufu, 42 km from Oita Bank Dome and 400 metres from Kinrinko Lake, 天ゆふ(Ten Yufu) offers a garden and air conditioning. The location is just right at the Kinrin Lake. With 1 bath house at the front and across the street is a public onsen right beside the lake. It is the whole house to your group and can easily fit 5 people with a spare space to move around. (But there's only one parking slot). As it's a house, it comes with kitchen and accessory. Very family friendly. Can cook nabe or BBQ. The carpark is a bit hard to find but seriously, it's like the most unique parking place ever. Not everyday that you can park beside a hole on the ground with hot spring water running and many fishes.

Offering a garden and river view, Guesthouse Sakichi is located in Beppu, 1.2 km from Beppu Station and 13 km from Oita Station. The hosts were so lovely! I really enjoyed the experience staying in such a beautiful home and felt very welcomed and safe. The place was easy to find and parking was very convenient! The location worked well for my needs especially since I had a car, everything was accessible. The room was nice and clean, I liked the homely vibe which was what I was looking for with this booking. It was very quiet. I'm afraid of spiders so was a little concerned about that in this area, but the room never had any spiders and I didn't see any inside the house. There was one of the window of the toilet room, which had me concerned but luckily since there were two toilets I just went to the other one haha. You can see rather large spiders outside in the garden, but I never had any near me or on my car (did a thorough check before driving of course), obviously this isn't an issue for most just a note for people with similar fears/concerns.

Okuyado Buaiso has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Yufu, 41 km from Oita Bank Dome. There is a private entrance at the ryokan for the convenience of those who stay. This is very unique place to have a relaxing time with family and friends. I enjoyed the breakfast and diner in hotel restaurant. I can say that the level of food is like an art. After you enjoyed the dining there, you will fall in love with this hotel. Enjoying the hot spring is also very special moments. Every staff is very friendly and kind to help the customers. I really enjoyed this hotel and I wish that I could come back to this place in someday. Thank you to all staffs.
