The atmosphere was so welcoming and inviting - it was a true delight. The food was buffet style with so many options that were deliciously prepared daily! The food was healthy and fresh and the dinner at 15JOD per person was a real good deal, indeed!

Localizado a 5 km da aldeia de Dana, o Al-Nawatef ECO camp- Dana Nature Reserve é um acampamento ecológico que oferece aos seus hóspedes uma experiência beduína tradicional. The views are amazing ! Ask for one of the tents at the front of the canyon. We saw Arabian wolves ! We also greatly appreciated the endless tea and delicious dinners.

Dana View Guest House situa-se em Dana, a 27 km de Castelo de Shobak, e apresenta um terraço. Malik's knowledge and passion for the area made this visit for us. He was able to tell us so much about the nature reserve and Jordanian culture which hugely enriched our experience. The location is unbeatable with incredible views down into the valley below. It was such a privilege to be able to sit on the beautiful terrace and enjoy the changing light and listen to the gentle tinkling of the goats' bells. As we sat and chatted, we watched a kestrel perch a few feet away and Malik was able to identify lots of other birds from both their appearance and their song. A heater was provided to chase off the evening chill and the breakfasts laid on were amongst the tastiest we had in Jordan. It was also helpful to have a kettle so we could sit with a cup of something warm on the terrace. The peace and amazing views would have been sufficient to make this one of our favourite spots in Jordan, but our interactions with Malik and his wonderful family made the experience all the more special. Arrangements were made with families in the village to provide evening meals which helped spread income from tourism across the community.

The staff were great - very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable. The food was very good. The views from the hotel were absolutely outstanding. Great value for money.

Great location on top of a hill overlooking the valley giving us a beautiful sunset view. The owner/host is very hospitable and met us on arrival. He showed us around and was available if we had questions.

A recepção é super gentil e prestativa. Ele estava sempre nos perguntando se precisávamos de algo. Muito bom. A localização é excepcional! Apenas 3 minutos de caminhada para a entrada do Parque Arqueólogo de Petra. Não deixem de comer no restaurante! É a melhor comida da região. Provamos em outros para experimentar outros lugares e o Old Street Restaurante foi o melhor. O proprietário está sempre presente e nos forneceu dicas muito importantes para desfrutarmos Petra. Quarto limpo e organizado. O chá beduíno é muito bom e é servido para boas vindas à qualquer hora do dia. O café da manhã é muito bom! É estilo árabe com as famosas pastas de grão de bico, beringela e iogurte. Delicioso!

Host: Yousef, his brothers and friend - Fluent English communication - Warmhearted, polite Surrounding view - Located at middle of the valley so you can expect large scale of great views, greener landscape than other terrain of Jordan, here is the rare place you can hear the stream sound in this country Flexibility - You can bring your own food, and cook or ask for meal dish (Lunch/Dinner 8JD per person, Breakfast 4JD) - Nice view, hiking and trekking trail Electricity & heating - Many of hosting place in Dana has no electricity nor heating system (Colder & Darker!), otherwise they are somehow overpriced - Here you can expect warm night even in the middle of winter season (I stayed with 5 and 2 years old kids) Overally, I may say here is the bang for your buck.
