I checked out a couple of other places before deciding to stay at Casa Llemo because of the welcoming atmosphere from the first moment and I'm so glad I did. Julio and his family go out of their way to make you feel at home and make sure you get everything you need, but they always give you enough privacy as well. The rooms are clean, the water is hot and the meals are home cooked, delicious and cheap. They can also book different tours and shuttle for you and often have better connections or prices than what you find on the internet. Julio's hospitality went even beyond my stay. I had already left when a shuttle I had booked online canceled last minute. Because he had mentioned an alternative company to me before I called him pretty late, and even though I woke him up, he was so helpful and managed to book a shuttle for me and save my trip! Thank you! I wish I could have stayed a bit longer.

Mical was a fantastic host with such a lovely ;family. The location was great as it was local to the busy strip/ centre but very quiet. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay there!

Situated in San Pedro La Laguna in the Solola region, Apartamento Jacob has a terrace. The Volcano Atitlan is within 24 km of the apartment. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. - The place is a bit further (yet still within walking distance) from the main touristy area. This makes it much calmer and less noisy - The weekend /weekday markets are across the street. You got a bit of an additional authenticity through those (plus you can easily buy delicious fruits) - The owner was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the place, the neighborhood and the town - We were also allowed to check out in the afternoon which was a huge help for us (by not having to spend hours in the summer heat while waiting for our shuttle)

The property is non-smoking and is situated 26 km from Volcano Atitlan. We could not have had a better experience staying here. Domingo the host was the most accommodating, offering help any way he could and really elevated our 5 day stay. The house itself was in a perfect location: close to all the main in in San Juan la Laguna, while remaining just off the beaten path. The house and rooms were plentiful and spacious, and the rooftop terrace out of this world. We were 7 people and felt like we had more than enough space. We had so much fun staying here and would stay here again in a heart beat. San Juan La Laguna is a beautiful town with real heart surrounded by gorgeous mountains and inhabited by generous, interesting people. If you are thinking of coming to Lake Atitlan, I could not recommend enough staying in San Juan enough. And Casa Elenita only exceeded any expectation we had.

It's very well located, just a 5-minute walk from Calle de los Sombreros, the main commercial area and the most touristy street in San Juan de La Laguna. The property is sustainably made, equipped with solar panels, and the bathroom facilities are brand new. You won't find luxury and refinement here, but everything is extremely well-kept and clean. The luxury lies in the view of the Indian Nose mountains and the fact that it's right on the edge of Atitlan, away from the noise and crowds. The staff is incredible. I loved meeting the owner Carlos, and the employees Gerson and Nila are extremely kind, polite, and always available to assist with anything you need. San Juan is a very charming village. You can stay at Mundo Abu and explore other villages, as the property is a 5-minute walk from the main pier, where you can catch a boat to visit San Pedro, and even Panajachel, which is very close, it's not even a 30-minute boat ride away. In San Juan, I did the Indian Nose trail, which is definitely worth it. The staff helped me a lot with everything I needed, including scheduling tours. I found exactly what I wanted at Mundo Abu: comfort, privacy, and contact with nature. Waking up every day to the view of Lake Atitlan is a beautiful sight and a huge privilege to be surrounded by nature but with all the comfort and amenities.

This beachfront property offers access to a patio, table tennis, and free WiFi. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. This is a awesome place and absolutely unique. This made our Guatemala trip absolute special! Fernando is the best host you can imagine.

Featuring a garden, shared lounge and views of garden, Casa Qatzij - Guest House, Lake Atitlan is set in San Lucas Tolimán, 21 km from Volcano Atitlan. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Casa Qatzij will forever hold a special place in my heart. This space is truly a home and you’re a welcomed part of a family. The kitchen facilities are gorgeous and a lot of thought was put into it, similarly with the rest of the house. Truly, one of the nicest kitchens I’ve seen during my travels, with everything from sharp stainless steel knives to spices to cast irons!! There’s an exhaustive collection of novels, non-fiction, zines, and other readings materials and many cozy spots to curl into (possibly with one of the three animals who live here.) Everything is cleaned daily and I found my bed to be sooo comfortable after weeks of lumpy pillows are wiry mattresses. San Lucas Toliman is certainly a quiet part of the lake, but worth visiting! Veronica, Frida and I went for an excursion to Punta de Diosas (goddess point). it’s also worth noting that while the owner was away, his volunteer Veronica held the container of this space with such integrity and joy! I think it speaks volumes to the energy of this home that she is so wonderful. additionally- Veronica gave me the best haircut of my life. I’m truly leaving here as a different person. COME HERE!! Just live and be in this thoughtful, gorgeous home.
