We stayed in the Lake View room and it was lovely, especially seeing the daily lives of those living around the lake. The room was clean and comfortable. Laundry services were available and the host did an amazing job with our clothes. The homestay is within walking distance to the Imperial City as well as a local market. Great food options in the area. Some of the best spots were in hidden alleys. The homestay is also near a great corner cafe, tasty bánh mì, and an excellent barber. The host for this homestay was so incredibly sweet! It was a joy to interact with her and her visitors. Yes, there is a language barrier, but I'm not sure where most of the reviewers think they are traveling to. You'd think they were going to the UK or Canada with how much English they expect everyone to speak. Folks, you're in Vietnam and there are plenty of translation apps!

Absolutely amazing stay at House of Ly! To begin, the host is just so sweet and thoughtful. The accommodations are impeccably clean and have great character. The bed is the most comfortable we have had in Vietnam so far - great mattress, soft sheets, and even 2 pillows per person! The location is very central for bars/restaurants/site seeing. While it is a fairly busy area, it was quiet in the night so we had a great sleep despite being on the balcony. An absolutely fantastic stay and great value for a spot in the heart of the city!
