The hostel is super lovely, the rooms have a lot of space and the kitchen is well equipped. The hostel is near from the train station (10 minutes to walk) and there are many supermarkets around. A big thank you to the awesome host mom who made the 4 days even more beautiful with her open friendly manner and her helpfulness.

The location was a 15 minute walk from Sendai station at a leisurely pace. Between busses and walking we were able to get around Sendai pretty easily. Food, museums, and shopping locations were all along the walk from the station so we were happy campers. The beds were comfy enough and the living room was bigger than we expected. The comforters on the bed were awesome and kept us so warm that some rooms didn't even need to have the heaters on while we slept even though it was so cold outside. We paid roughly $30 a night per person which we thought was extremely fair. I'd definitely stay here again. The hosts were also quick to respond to questions I had before our check-in date.

The house built by containers, the design is very boy feel. In the morning, sunshine came from dinning room light well, very special.

Beautiful property. Wonderful staff. All very helpful and friendly. The public baths were wonderful. Outside baths were 2 different scenarios, one was gorgeous with five separate river rock soaking areas overlooking the river and forest, the other was 1 wooden tub in a small pavilion. Women have the beautiful spot afternoon/evening and swap with the men in the morning. Our room was very large and comfortable with a balcony and private soaking tub. The buffet style dinner and breakfast were delicious. Huge variety of freshly prepared foods. All you could eat and drink, beer, wine, various alcohol, sake, in the restaurant. The reception area had a piano, wood burning central fireplace to sit around. There were small tables with various board games, a library, snacks, beer and wine. Comfortable seating overlooking the hillside that was lit up at night. Very romantic spot to go for a special night.

Very convenient as the ryokan has a bus service to and from Sendai station directly, and also has an on-call service to send and pick up from the main bus terminal in Akiu.

WenHsiao Tajvan

The overall experience is excellent. The quilt is very comfortable for sleeping. The Yōkan for greeting snacks is very good. We have a very good experience to stay here.
