Everything is above and beyond. The entire place is super cute and very clean. Lots of amenities. Details to the bone. Totally in love with this place. Also we forgot important personal belonging inside the house and the host is super kind to express deliver it to the next hotel we're staying! Totally recommend this place!

Our stay at Imabari couldn’t have gone any better! The view from the room was lovely. The owner was incredibly kind, she helped us by making us a restaurant reservation. She also left delicious clementines in the room for us and gave us a gift when we left. The room itself was very comfortable. The towels and yukata were the most comfortable we had in Japan. Overall amazing stay.

Spotless inside, modern facilities, nice towels. Everything worked well. Owner was VERY helpful and nice. Coffee and snacks provided. Ideal for travelers.

Beautiful ryokan with everything you need. The owners are super lovely and even though their English is very little they helped us with google translate to ship our luggage to Onomichi (for the cycle route). Breakfast (for additional fee) was delicious! We recommend staying here.

Everything was exceptional! Our room was beautiful and while it’s 7k off the main bike path, the ride to Sawaki was my favorite ride of the entire shimanami kaido route. They had tea waiting in our room for when we arrived. I don’t think the photos are accurate, because our room and our private bathroom was beautiful! We also had dinner and breakfast, both of which were phenomenal. My husband has a shellfish allergy, and they were incredibly accommodating to him!

The tatami mat room was pretty nice. a bit on the old side, but comfortable enough. The staff was one young woman who handled my check in. She had pretty much no English and seemed super nervous until she realized I know enough Japanese to understand everything. They let me keep my bike inside the hostel which is a great bonus. The downstairs cafe space is nifty but was closed during my stay. The location was interesting as it was in a shopping arcade close to plenty of stuff like a grocery store and bars/restaurants. The place itself is a "fixer upper" and fits in that "DIY" category of hostels.
