Beautiful place in a quiet small old village very close to Delphi, perfect for visiting the archeological site and the museum. The town of Delphi is quite touristic so I would very much recommend staying here instead for a quieter and more genuine experience. Our host was very welcoming and helpful. Very good breakfast too! Breath-taking view on the historical center of the village, the Corinthian gulf and the mountains of Peloponnesus on the background. The one bedroom apartment in a newly renovated house is not glamorous, but despite its modesty cozy, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is indeed wholly a functional kitchen (not a corner conventionally designated as "kitchen"), and at the same time a kind of guest room with a wide sofa. Suitable for a pair of adults with a grown child or a third person. Something you do not find always and everywhere: I had a bus for Athens from Delphi departing at 5.30 a.m. The host Takis was kind enough to wake me at 4.45, to carry my suitcase and to drive me on his car to the bus station (KTEL).

Absolutely huge apartment with beautiful views over the valley below down to the coast. Sat outside on the big balcony watching sun set over the mountains to the west. Sini's father, Andreas, met us and despite his limited English, he made us feel incredibly welcome as he showed us around the apartment. The kitchen table was laden with goodies for breakfast and the large fridge was stocked with hard boiled eggs, meat and cheese as well an enormous amount of fresh fruit, milk and juice. Andreas was very proud of the olives and olive oil he had produced in his own olive grove not far away. Sini had created and decorated this home away from home for anyone who stayed here in providing all they needed for a great stay. Both Sini's parents made sure you didn't leave hungry!!!! The apartment was in the upper part of town so quieter and away from tour bus crowds but still walking distance to good tavernas.

The host and his family were charming and welcoming. We certainly felt like we made new friends and would absolutely stay here again if we return. Room: We are a party of three adults, and this is one of the few places in the Delphi-Arachova-Chrisso area that accommodates three people. This is a large 3rd floor attic unit with in-unit bathroom and shower. Two adults can sleep in the bedroom queen bed, and another adult can sleep on the pull-out couch/sofa bed in the living area. The room is equipped with a mini fridge, electric kettle, panini maker, coffee machine, cultery, and plates and cups. We also had access to a great south-east facing patio on the second floor. Depending on how many guests the host have (he has two other units in the same building for rent), you will also have access to a private parking spot with shelter. Breakfast is not included, but you can ask the host to make restaurant reservations for you. Location: This is a charming little town with narrow winding streets and cobble stone. It is much less touristy and much, much quieter than Delphi or Arachova. For food, Taverna Liostasi is the one that has the most extensive hours, often opening past midnight, even on Christmas day. They make delicios tiropita ands stuffed cabbage rolls, and will happily make take-outs for you. There is also a small supermarket (called, yes, Supermarket) in town for your regular supplies, and they are also open on Christmas Day. We didn't have a chance to try the other restaurants in town. Transportation: Chrisso is a charming little town about 10 minutes zigzag drive to Delphi, and 20 minute drive to the port town Itea. Do note that the roads in Chrisso are very, very narrow. If you are renting a car, do not rent anything wider than a sedan or small SUV. The private parking space also has low clearance, so don't rent a car that's too tall. You can also ask the host to arrange for taxis for you.

The location was amazing with a stunning view of the sunset down the valley to the Gulf of Corinth and waking up to the same. The apartment was spacious and well stocked. Absolutely exceeded my expectations!
