Friendly, family orientated atmosphere. I loved the Guesthouse type vibes. Super chilled out. Plenty of hammocks and places to eat/chill/whatever. Phenomenal value for money. Had everything you needed re: amenities. Kitchen was great. Carmilo the owner was available on weekends and cooked us crepes for breakfast with a cup of coffee and a dart. He had great local knowledge and was always happy to help out. .

Such a Great Place with nice staff, everything is really comfy and beautiful. Food is delicious and some variety during the stay. The hostel is small so you can really connect with the people.

Jon, Janelle and Lenny's (the boss dog!) place is well worth the stay. Their hospitality is warm, friendly and very helpful, the rooms and bathrooms are clean, spacious, and the beds are super comfortable. The common area and kitchen are really well stocked with cookware, and there's a little grocery store across the street as well as in the town. We loved the viewing deck for lounging in the day. The AC cost (if you use it) is also below the going rate for using AC in Nicaragua, and the ceiling fans / windows move the air around really well. We've been to El Transito a few times and it's by far one of the best deals / places to stay, we're going back again in a few days! The staff is so friendly and helpful. It’s a 5 min walk from the beach which is nice to experience a bit of the little town. If you’re lucky you can see a baseball game on Sunday. An amazing pupusa place a block away. Equipped kitchen, drinking water, good wifi, and fans for when the heat gets really bad. I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed it a lot. It’s more rustic, so you should be okay with composting toilets, climbing ladders, and mosquito nets.
