JamboHouse Lamu is set in Lamu, 400 metres from Gallery Baraka, 500 metres from Lamu Museum, and 500 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum. Nothing to add here! As several Lamu people confirmed, Arnold is super kind and will do everything possible to recommend you the best places and activities for any budget. As our flight was rescheduled multiple times, we could leave our luggage until afternoon, thanks a lot!

Situated within 500 metres of Manda Beach and 500 metres of Shela Beach in Lamu, Jua House provides accommodation with seating area. Absolutely amazing place. Lots of nice pockets to sit and relax, the rooms and the whole hotel are beautiful, and Amani, who runs it, is lovely and incredibly helpful -- we were met at the airport even though we forgot to share our flight time! Could not recommend more.

This historical Arabian-style building is located in the UNESCO-listed town of Lamu. It is less than 300 metres from the seafront and 3 km from the white sandy beach. Very unique property! Loved everything about it

Umma House has a terrace and is situated in Lamu, within just 300 metres of Lamu Museum and 500 metres of Lamu Fort. Guests staying at this villa have access to a balcony. The house is a beautiful gem within old lamu town. The architecture is stunning, the rooms are freshened by fans and the pool is great to escape the day’s heat. The house staff is incredibly helpful and Peter was a great caretaker. We would also warmly recommend arranging a tour of the old town and of shela, as well as a boat tour if one wishes, with Abu. Abu is knowledgeable and loves his job; he is a great storyteller and a great artist (ask to see his recycled art). Walking around Lamu with him and learning about this unique place from him was a wonderful experience.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, sea view and a terrace, Makubwa House is situated in Lamu. The staff and manager of the house so helpful. Lots of advice and recommendations where to eat. Also easy to find in the maze of Lamu, close to the jetty but far enough for a peaceful stay

Located in Shela, near Manda Beach and Mnarani House, Shiban House is a recently renovated property, featuring free WiFi, a fitness centre and terrace. The homestay features family rooms. Joseph and Mpanzi were very lovely and took good care of me. I enjoyed chatting with them and really felt like I had made new friends by the time I left. The house is large and clean and is well located in Shela. A very comfortable base to explore Lamu and its delights.

Set 300 metres from Lamu Fort, Beytsalam offers accommodation with a shared lounge, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Complimentary WiFi is offered. Price point was spot on! Location fantastic and conveniently close to the airport. Dinner next door at Lamu House was exceptional. Nice alternative to the more expensive Shella.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Banana House and Wellness Centre is located in Shela village, Lamu 2.7 km from Gallery Baraka. The property is set 2.8 km from Lamu Fort. My stay in Tree house was just wonderful. The hotel is very special, amazing vibe and incredible location. It was so peaceful and the staff are very helpful and nice. I also loved the food, very healthy, tasty and big dishes. I will definitely come back.

Set within 100 metres of Lamu Museum and 200 metres of Lamu Fort in Lamu, Swahili Dreams Apartments offers accommodation with a kitchen. The design in this property is amazing, beautiful. The indoor pool is exquisite. The staff was excellent and the apartments large and comfortable.
