They arranged transportation to the airport at 3am. Breakfast and lunch was very delicious. The swimming pool was a lot of fun for my family. The trees surrounding the pool and garden and very nice, quiet with only the sound of birds.

Located in Republiek, 38 km from Paramaribo and 3 km from Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport. Sonja's Guesthouse features a barbecue and views of the garden. Sonja and Henry are two of the kindest people I have ever met. The ride from the airport at 1am was extremely convenient, and Henry even gave me a much-appreciated history lesson during the ride to the city. The bedroom, bathroom, and common areas were all spotless -- everything was kept clean and tidy at all times. The breakfast and lunch were also great. I am glad I decided to spend a night here!

Sure, this is a rudimentary camp and not a 5-star hotel, but that should be clear from the pictures. Still, the room was good, the bed comfortable, and the atmosphere perfect. You can hang out in a hammock, dip into a lake, or just play with the animals and have a relaxed day. I would any time come back for a day and a pizza.
