We were not sure how to access the keys at first as we had to enter the black door on the south side first. As there is an apartment in the other half of the house we though we would be entering somebodys apartment by opening the doors. But then the key was easy to find and the apartment was perfect for an overnight stay.

Just 1 km off Iceland’s Ring Road, this privately-run guest house is 4 km from Höfn town centre. It offers free WiFi, scenic views of the surrounding nature and a furnished terrace in the garden. the hill behind the house has a good view of 3 glaciers on a clear day. power sockets everywhere in the room, floor heating in the bathroom.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. The hotel has a great view over the Vatnajokull mountains. It was comfortable and clean. Good breakfast.
