Excellent location and exceptional breakfast in a great location. Nice people.
Some parts of the hotel are renovated, but our room had a very small and inconvenient bathroom, with a shower curtain that always touched you, which was not a pleasant feeling...
The small balcony was facing a pretty ugly side. I guess my report would be different if we got a room facing the sea.
If i were the owner, I would invest in a reasonable bathroom.

I went there with my wife and our two kids. We were welcomed by the owner who was very nice, polite and friendly. When we went to the room we were amazed by how clean everything was. Kitchen stuff was in isolated plastic bags so we were sure they wasn’t be used before. Everything was perfect and it’s a great value for money. The place was very quiet and we enjoyed our stay.

The Host: Could not ask for more kind, considerate, and friendly hosts. Had to teach a summer class on Zoom but the WiFi had a slow upload speed. Kostas purchased and installed a new WiFi to accommodate me within 24 hours. The WiFi was fine for casual use and he did not have to upgrade. Who else would have paid to replace the WiFi to accommodate a special guest need?
The Apartment: Clean, comfortable, well located. We received a welcome gift with jam, 2 small bottles of home made liquor, and local herbs.
The Village: Lively with many dinning and entertainment choices. Good beaches and umbrellas are free with purchase.

Despite not being not that far from Volos, Kala Nera still maintained a small seaside village feel. The beach had lovely clean water for swimming. Cafes/restaurants were good. On the whole it was very quiet, at night there was little to disturb you.

Kala Nera is a beautiful village.
Kala Nera is a beautiful village. It has a very wide central road with many trees so you can take a walk even during the day. Many hotels and rooms to rent. Many restaurants and shops, mini market and pharmacy. It has a nice organized beach. There are other beaches nearby 10-15 minutes by car. The restaurants offer tsipouro or ouzo with meze (small plates) which means you order the ouzo or tsipouro and they also bring you small plates food no extra charge!! The food in general is cheap. Peaceful and relaxing holidays.

Kala Nera is a beautiful small seaside village.
Kala Nera is a beautiful small seaside village. But if dogs make you nervous it may not suit you, as they lie on the beach or on the streets, but are not a nuisance,in fact we found it rather charming.
You can't see from the pictures how beautiful it really is.
The hosts are very welcoming and prompt in requests.
The location has a private beach equipped with sun loungers and olive trees that provide shade and is perfect spot to relax .
The room was spacious with enough closets for storage.
The kitchen is clean and equipped with everything you need to cook.
Meals can be served on the terrace of the room or in the yard.
Well maintained small size hotel with an adequate pool and a private parking for the majority of the guest's vehicles. The stuff is friendly and efficient. Clean average size rooms with a kitcenette. The beach is within 5' walk from the premises. Prices are totally ok.
Very nice place, 5 minutes walk from the beach Kala Nera, very friendly host.
The place is perfect for families with children, it has 4 beds, kitchen, big balcony with view and big table, basketball court near the hotel
Beautifully designed and very large rooms, with a bedroom and a living room, with the highest standards, on the beach , the owners are so kind, great breakfast in the best location, I loved everything here.
The location is great- a short walk to Kala Nera beach, shops and restaurants.
Our host was amazing!!! The nicest person you could ask for and so accommodating who made us a tasty breakfast every morning.
We stopped for a night at the hotel on our way to Peloponnese. It was clean and nice, the owner was very friendly. Beautiful garden with the sea in front. Very peaceful, great Wi-Fi and air-conditioning.
